  1. Joe Mazzulla deserves all of the props. He built a culture and identity and got buy-in from everyone on the roster to run his system efficiently.

Shout out to Brad Stevens as well, for finding diamonds in the rough. Neemias Queta being a quality starting big was not on my radar at all going into this year.

  2. 2:00 Celtics only win 49% of the time when they shoot worse than 35% from 3.

Yeah that means even if the 3 isn’t falling, the Celtics will still win about half their games anyway.

Pretty pretty pretty pretty pretty good.

  3. I watch a lot of NBA games, the Celtics are the balls because all of the players are bought in and know what they are trying to do. When I watch most teams I see players taking plays off, blowing assignments, taking bad shots. It's a great roster with a plan, and everyone is bought in.

  4. I watch every Celtics game. Brown has turned into an MVP, but more specifically he’s become a much improved rebounder out of nowhere. Derrick White still plays great defense, and his shooting numbers are down but that’s because he takes the tough shots when the shot clock is low. When the play fails he ends up taking the shot. Pritchard is an isolation god, Queta has become a real starting Center, Hauser is still shooting great from 3, Vucevic looks like he’ll fit well as a stretch big who can pass, Garza is having his best season as a pro, Walsh and Scheirman can have chunks of minutes and not be negatives, and Gonzalez is looking like a steal of a first round pick, he leads the league in rookie plus minus. Celtics literally had internal improvement from every man on their roster except White. Mazzula should win Coach of the Year.

  5. The Celtics three point volume has always been a function of team building as well. Brad has made an obvious effort to create rosters with good to great shooters at every position

  6. the advanced stats are equally impressive: #2 off. rating, #8 def. rating (6 teams top 10 in both), #3 in net rating; joint 6th in assist/turnover ratio (despite being 30th in assist%); and #5 in offensive rebound %.
the best part is, 4th best win % in the league. and people get paid to for drivel like "gap year"??

  7. Joe Mazzulla has proven he can adapt , most thought he could not. That is part of why they thought this was a gap year!!!!
