The Boston Celtics BELT TO A** Was Honorable

  1. Yeah jaylor had to come back after LETTINF TEAM STRIPES DOWN, with his horrible performance. And belt to ass, well. Sure. As long as we understand it was without Steph Curry.

  2. You seem like a warriors fan tha appreciates the Celtics. Thank you for an unbiased breakdown.

  3. There was a point after trailing by over 30 where I was tempted to just shut the game off but I was curious about Porzingas and he did not disappoint. I was gratified to see the Warriors didn't just give up and got it down to 11 too little too late but at least showing pride in front of the crowd. With Steph out for a protracted 10 more days it seems like the season could be done….and it very well may be….but there is something to build on here for the Warriors and this game can either break them and look to tank the rest of the season or…..it could encourage them in how much of the deficit they overcame…..and learn from the areas they lacked. I was a bit discouraged at how often Boston players were able to take it the basked off the dribble while the Warriors seemed to flail away at missed three pointers but….once they bore down defensively things started to shift….there was just a little too much of a lead to overcome. However, every time I heard Hauser's name called out I kept thinking about Totall Recall.

  4. DITTO!!! JB"s performance was absolutely his best overall performance. This game was a good way to start this trip. LA's next and that will be fun.

  5. ive been saying Jaylen is their best player for at least 6-7 years now. imagine being as good as Jaylen is & simply accepting a G-League/bench role as a rookie, third option in his second season, an on-off bench role IN HIS THIRD SEASON (⁉️), then a permanent sidekick 2nd option to JT while consistently being ridiculed (left hand/turnovers), minimized & mentioned in trade rumors his entire career until… JT blew out his achilles while dribbling.

imo, JT was so naturally gifted he didnt have the trial by fire that JB did. other than adding too many stepback threes to his game & improving on playmaking, he has essentially been the same player his entire career.

fortunately the Celtics have been talented enough to overcome his weaknesses, but his iso style of overdribbling just to take a contested perimeter fadeaway slowed the Celtics down. he made things more difficult for the Celtics offense, but was talented enough to convert so many of those difficult possessions that it looked like magic on the court.

JB is the exact opposite. he never sits on the ball. he either creates a shot or dumps the ball. he doesnt have an MVP caliber sidekick like Tatum has always had. Jaylen is doing this with Derrick White & a bunch of guys (save Vucevic) that NOBODY in the league cared about: Payton Pritchard, Sam Hauser, Neemias Queta, Jordan Walsh, the Latin Brothers (Garza/Gonzalez), Ron friggin Harper Jr???

NOBODY can pretend that ANY of these guys were on ANYBODY’s radar until the Celtics got ahold of them.

Tatum had Brown, White, Porzingis, Jrue, Al (& PP, Hauser, Kornet) to make deep runs to the ECF, Finals & Banner 18.

JB has White, Vooch & a cast of overlooked & underestimated role players & TBH this team looks better than any team the Celtics have had the past decade EXCEPT the 23-24 Championship team that just steamrolled the league.

JB is just more efficient than JT. he does more with less. he has improved an element of his game every offseason to the point he is the most complete player in the league… & certainly the best 2-way player.

there is no excuse not to give JB the MVP this year. NOBODYYYY expected the Celtics to be in contention this season, but the ease with which JB stepped into the 1A role & has played up to the task is the best story the NBA has had in years.

    crown Him.
