On one hand, Shaedon should be the perfect archetype for this team. They have enough primary initiators and he could be a real off-ball star if he plays more like a supercharged version of what he was his rookie year.
On the other hand, I just don’t trust that he’s going to put it all together and he feels like an obvious trade candidate who won’t be part of what’s next for this team. I don’t know who they’d target in a deal like this, but I absolutely see him getting Jalen Green’d and packaged with Jrue and picks for a big upgrade

Portland isn't allowed to have "nice" things like Deni so he'll likely have injury problems going forward. Would like to trade Jrue for someone younger over the summer. I'm cool with keeping Jerami.
Shaedon losing the ball while driving is the problem. But….is it a "handle" issue as much as it's a lack of upper body strength to fight off defenders? Dude has gone through three offseasons and still looks slight, still wears a t-shirt under his jersey. More robust shoulders and chest could really help his driving to the rim.
I'm worried about Deni. I'm old enough to remember when Kiki Vandeweighs back went out, he was never the same. They need to just shut Deni down at the very least until two or three games before the playing. If not until next year.
