I like Joshua Jefferson as a solid connector with size some defensive versatility and a plus passer but I'd be happy with Karaban's ability to knock down 3s.

I would love to see a real power forward at the end of the draft. An athletic rebounder, midrange with good rim protection.
We got way to much small forwards who play PF but are not big enough. We need a Lamarcus Aldridge type player. I hope Hannes Steinbach falls to 30.
I want to see Jeffrey Cooperstein with the Borat mustache and the sunglasses if the Mavs get a Top 3 Pick. But not the swimsuit, pls!

They are talking about Kansas center abouke or they looking at Arenas son who plays for Syracuse
The center position is absolutely where the mavs need to be looking with this pick. GAFFORD will more than likely not be on this team come July due to his contract and lively can’t stay healthy so you need to stock up on your center position with another one. Lively, cisse and another big would be helpful

Karaban 13-21 from 3 to start the season but 36% since then as the competition has picked up. Pass.
He’s a camp body.
Braden Smith is another guy who’s small and slight who will be hunted on the defensive end. Camp body.
Again 7-22 from 3 in his last several games and barely makes 1/2 his 2’s.
Three turnovers a game (six in a game FOUR TIMES) and doesn’t have the handle to escape traps.
Are any of these guys significantly better than what we already have?
Thomas a much better prospect than the white guys.
Already as a freshman he’s a better all around player.
Swain is better but he’d make sense if Swain and guys like Christian Anderson are gone. You’d prefer guys like Carr or Stirtz to drop, which could happen.
Even better move the pick to Charlotte and get our 2027 pick back.
Infinitely more valuable.

His shooting numbers are 53/39/87 this year. Maybe we just suck at developing talent.
