It is great to see ball pressure defense from the spurs wing players , knowing that your team has the best shot – blocker ( Alien π½ π Wemby) to help out near the rim π π. I just wish LeBron & the Lakers could do the same type effort !!!!!
This is exactly what any coach loves and is afraid to face. Body the point guard up with sound defensive principles,using foot work,arms,hands,legs and direction. By the time the 4th quarter comes your target is dog tired. Any team without an extra ball handler in the starting five will not beat Spurs in a 7gm series. The only counter is to set hard picks with strong screen rolls. If not your coach is being out coached. Somebody taught Castle defense. But with desire none of the defensive stunt will mean much. Castle is controlling the game through defense. You have to have played the point to understand this. Castle is a dog,who will bite and nibble at you for the entire game. Only point guards that can deal with him are the ones that has the handles to do something to him whenever he tries to get close. Castle is the best in the NBA at breaking down a point guards game.
