Washington Wizards Offensive DISASTER Showcases The Issues With Tanking
Washington Wizards’ offensive struggles hit a new low as they suffer a blowout loss to the Atlanta Hawks, raising tough questions about the realities of rebuilding and tanking in the NBA. Abdullahi Ayubi and Ben Strober break down the Wizards’ lifeless performance, spotlighting disastrous turnovers, a stagnant offense, and the challenges faced by young players like Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson. Is this rock bottom for Washington, or a necessary step toward future growth?
Key topics include Bilal Coulibaly’s defensive flashes, Will Riley’s promising night, and the ongoing absence of Alex Sarr. The discussion unpacks the team’s lack of a true point guard, Carrington’s February slump, and whether development is truly possible during a tanking season. Listener reactions are featured, and NBA draft prospects like AJ Dybansta and Darryn Peterson are previewed ahead of the Wizards’ next rebuild phase. Can Washington’s young core bounce back and change the franchise narrative?

Get new coach some offseason trades and we will be good with our draft pick
In the great words of AB "one game closer to the finish line"
A. I don’t think we can play any worse than last night.
B. We got the L
Some Games it Feels like we just drafted a bunch of elite role players……
Am I GM yet?
In Bub we trust!!!
I must admit, I recorded this game to watch later. Regardless of wins and losses, I'm interested in how well they play. I'm aire its hard foe them to remain motivated when the goal is to lose.
I watched the Wizards kick Atlanta right out of the building a couple of months ago. Very up and down season with the young players. I noticed Carrington passes to spots on the floor when he gets double teamed. The trouble is that his teammates aren’t there. Honestly, I think the rotations, awareness of what is necessary is definitely not present, yet.
…and we love Bud. Keep in mind the majority of the team hasn't peaked yet. They're still developing and this is oaet of the process.
D.C is a transient city, as such, there are fans from everywhere here. The Duke game had gr8 fan energy.
Regarding Bub, 1 bad game doesnt make a trend.
AB, love the grooming! (Pause)
This season is so miserable i cant wait for it to be over.
I’ve been wondering if with Bub if the staff has honed in on him developing as a pass first point guard. And his defense. His jumper has been off but he seems to be developing in a few areas.
