In my humble opinion I think this is Dejonte's team now
If DJ retires, center is a big need in the offseason
The thing is Deandre Jordan is a big body you can put at the center position and he can bang, if you look at Missi and Karlo they are too skinny and get moved around to easily by other centers down in the post, also Deandre Jordan is a significantly better rebounder than the other centers on the team
The Pelicans are 10 games behind the Clippers and they got three more games with the Clippers
Melz, thank God the rookies are coming off the bench, this move will help their development more than we know. Murray and Zion put their stamp on that win last night and McGowans and Jordan were sensational! Coach has to cut down his rotation and hunt wins more than rookie development! Our starting 5 is set (barring injury) and they are Murray, Herb, Trey, Zion and Missi/ Jordan. What do you think?
Willie tried out D Jordan but got ridiculed. We've been starting 5 forwards yet wonder why the team cant execute and offense. now that this weird coach finally wants to play a PG, the team is improving
Ive been saying this is a playoff caliber team but only if we play fundamental positionally smart basketball and getting HEALTHY. Herb aint a guard and DQ is not a center so we need both in their natural positions. Poole and Murray have to be the main guards then fears.

I think I understand the sentiment, if the idea that this season is a wash, then development of Queen and Fears to not only see if they can play behind the main guys, but become the main focal points of this team going forward could be the best way. Another great episode fam.
The pelicans didn't just beat the warriors but also the refs. They tried so hard the help the California team win.
Just a heads up, I followed your podcast because you were the only podcasts that was positive about our team. But, you are now becoming as negative about the team as Jake, from lock on pelicans. I don't listen to him.
Great win for the Pelicans an ugly win but I’ll take it. It amazing having veterans on the court makes such a big difference. Let’s not forget that Trey and Missi are also out and great leadership by Jevonte especially paired with Herb makes a big difference on defense.
Melz, Pels should be in a win-now mindset next yr. Murphy and Murray are all-stars, Zion seems to have matured a lot, Herb is a very effective player. Do they need a better PT guard? Power forward? Center? I wouldn't hesitate to trade your rookies & other players for one great player. It's the front office & coach who need help figuring out how to put it together

Queen isn't developing emotionally the way I would hope he should be. I think him feeling like he has the keys and starting could be contributing to that, so yea should be off the bench. For the future, I have to go back to the thought that the plan has always been to trade Zion at or around the Draft. Z, Queen, Fears is obviously not a good combo, Queen was a replacement at the 4 for Z, not an accompaniment.
