The only thing that’s clear is they screwed up royally hiring this guy for a head coach we’ve barely been doing anything the whole season because even though we’re third in the east, we can’t beat any other teams that matter
Here is the most uncomfortable reality, keeping Hart in the starting lineup while substituting Bridges for Shamet. Folks, Shamet makes the front line of Towns, who does not play defense, OG, a small forward relegated to play power forward, Shamet who substitutes for Bridges, Hart, a non-shooting shooting guard, suspect on the defense and Brunson, plays defense but his height makes him a liability, a structurally flawed unit. If Brown wants to steady this lineup, he needs to add a defensive big in Robinson, Hukporti, Diawara or Sochan so that someone can take on the duty of guarding the paint. Moreover, the substitutions of McBride, Alvarado, Shamet with either Bridges or Hart on the court with Towns is a disaster. This same problem occurs when Robinson, Sochan and a bunch of smaller guards are on the court together. Folks, Brown benching Bridges for Shamet is slightly better but still a defensive mess, especially, when Hart who cried himself back to the starting lineup is on the court.
bridges is SOFT and he giving shamet props to get the pressure off of him and his down play… He had the nerve to say be more coachable when he was one of the main guys crying about thibs way of coaching… Kat been taking all of the heat while bridges who been playing worse than kat been getting away with the way he been playing

Na. Shamet is a good specialist for the 3 but all around player is still Mikal Bridges. If they fully swap him is just dum
I would start Shamett at shooting Gaurd and play Josh as the 6th man!!! Thats make us bigger at the Gaurd spot!!!
Knicks are something like 15 and 14 recently. Couldn't score 100 points against the Cavs who have one of the worst defensive backcourts in the league. Knicks are in deep trouble. They can't sustain a high enough level of play to be sure of beating anyone in the playoffs. They still have the same defensive problems with Brunson, Kat and Hart in the starting lineup.
The fact is Bridges is underperforming and is contact averse. He's hyping Shamet up because that'll hide his poor play in big games and during crunch time. Also Shamet playing well will reduce his minutes and keep his ironman game streak in tact.
The Knicks are NOT better with Landry Shamet. Yes, good off the bench, good shooter, etc. Bridges won two games with his defense ON THE ROAD, IN THE PLAY-OFFS LAST YEAR..
What the Knicks have been doing lately are shooting line drives instead or arcs for 3-point shots and it's the main reason why they've been shooting poorly the last 2 games!
