Love Luka and I would welcome him back in a heartbeat but he does have his faults and defending him felt like a full time job. I don't miss the foul baiting instead of just going up strong and then complaining to the refs instead of getting back on defense one bit. Let Lakers fans deal with it for awhile.
No, Luka is not a great PLAYER. Luka is a great SCORER. That is all.
I would disagree with your basic premise. But I understand why you took it. There are two huge factors at work here, and so long as you take the position that this is inevitable, and that no one has control over their choices, this is the kind of narrative you’re stuck with. 1) Luca has a choice how he behaves. He’s not doing anything to reinvent himself if he doesn’t stop the behavior. No he can’t control what people say, but he can control the truth.
2) and basically the same for us. We are the humans that eat our young. We don’t have to. We can simply cheer for our teams – be happy when they succeed and discourage when they don’t. But that’s not what we do. We have to find blame and we have to crucify. We can simply choose not to. At that point, we stop being part of the problem and we’re a very small part of the solution.

As a Lakers fan, Luka is clearly the number 1 player in the league. The statistics show it constantly. LeBron is the problem. LeBron turns the ball over and barely runs past half-court on defense (that is why LeBalco leads the league in "fast break points)"

Never happened to Steph. He's a terrible player who can hit some 35 footers on a given night. He's so bad the opposition always targets him on defense. The casual fan loves him but he never would have won anything without guys like Klay and Draymond to do the little things like play defense that actually win Titles.
