    Basketball ang pambansang obsession natin kahit structurally dehado tayo sa height at athletic profile. Tatlong dekada na ang modern era ng Philippine Basketball Association, pero bihira pa rin ang tunay na world class talent na napo produce the closest to NBA level was Sotto. Passion ang lakas natin pero ang passion na walang sistema, is pure noise..

    Umaasa tayo sa iilang exceptions tulad ni Jordan Clarkson o sa hype kay Kai Sotto, imbes na magtayo ng malalim at pangmatagalang grassroots program, gumamit ng modern sports science, at magbigay ng consistent at competitive international exposure. Hindi sapat ang height; hindi rin sapat ang puso.

    Ang tunay na problema hindi ang pagiging โ€œpalabanโ€ na kultura kundi ang pagiging emosyonal at defensive kapag kinukuwestiyon ang sistema. Kung gusto natin ng progress, kailangan ng brutal honesty, hindi blind loyalty..

    If we rank leagues objectively:

    NBA = 10 (global benchmark)
    EuroLeague = 8
    NBL Australia = 6
    Top Asian leagues = 5
    PBA = 4

    The gap is not just talent itโ€™s infrastructure.

    The NBA operates with:

    Cutting-edge sports science
    Full analytics departments
    Global recruitment systems
    Elite player development models

    The PBA remains dependent on local pipelines and short-term competitiveness.
    Kung seryoso tayo, kailangan ng dalawang radikal na hakbang:
    Total modernization of the PBA system, or
    Create NBA-standard academies in the Philippines.
    Otherwise, we stay at 4 in the next 10 decades o 100 years at kayo kayo ang maglolokohan sa sarili niyong palpak na liga.

    Cant believe Filipinos discounting JB for the last few Gilas games. JB gave the PH multiple wins against unwinnable opponents and championships. He poured his heart and soul out for the PH. Now that Gilas is losing you guys are quick to say he's past his prime. He is being targeted, doubly defended and smothered because he is the guy to defend. PH coach has to adapt to that. It's not JB's fault.

    Dapat si Kouame nalang ginamit dahil butas lagi ang ilalim pag nandyan si Fajardo. Gamitin lang na naturalize si brownlee pag available si Kai. Pag wla si Kai, si Kouame ang naturalize natin. marami naman tayong guard na kayang magpuntos. mga bobo talaga ng strategy ng Gilas kaya laging kapos.

    gilas did so much effort nice game i think its way to good to watch competing like one of this great team in fiba. new zealand is a very strong team but now we they are just 3 points ahead unlike the old games of gilas vs stronger teams

    Pinahihirapan kasi ni Tim Cone ang 38 years old 6'6" na si Justin Brownlee pinaglalaro ba naman ng power forward ang katapat eh mga 6'9". Natural mapapagod agad yan tapos hahanapan mo ng puntos ? Parang engot lang si Tim Cone. Ang hirap kaya makipag tulakan sa ilalim vs 6'9" saka dun sa 7'0" ng NZ.
