The Raptors have two all stars.
Raptors had a rare game shooting well from 3 and still lost. CMB being out has reduced the defensive intensity and offensive rebounding. BI had a bad game but he was questionable so hopefully he gets back into form asap. Bench needs to step up beyond Sandro. I think you're spot on and yet I also still have some optimism that they are the 11th best team in the NBA and will still likely finish around 47-48 wins and solidly in 5th in the East. They have played well against the Cavs and that is looking like a possible 1st round match up. I'm not ready to give up on this team and I keep reminding myself how quickly they have ascended.
I have nothing to say about this game I'm just here to help the analytics because Mike Roach is my straight up favorite Raps post-game show.
Mike, RJ had a good scoring gm but for every point he scored he gave up 2. He contributed to some key turnovers when Minny start the run in the 1st half; you are blaming SB on his offensive production when they are not even running sets for him while carrying the darn defense every night; his team mates not giving the ball when he has the mismatch; name me 1 star in the league doing what SB does on defense and then has to carry an offense that is not optimize his strengths. You are not been fair; offense is more than scoring; Bi offensive executiion is very poor but fans by pass it b/c he score on most nights but those pts are not as impactful: how sbout you ask what the FO is doing to optimize SB & help him grow his offensive gm.
Bobby offered BI a contract but made it clear as well he will be the option on offense when they traded for him; BI saw this as an oportunity to get back respectability in the league b/c he cannot play off ball & no other team that is serious would give him this contract & still have him getting aĺl that usage over their franchise guy; in other words the decision was made as to what SB's role will be this season.
RAPTORS are gonna end up in the play-in. One and done. Season over.
Giving a honest assessment of this team isn't crashing out it's called a honest/ realistic perspective.
Why did they trade for that dude from Golden Sate and they aren't even playing him. Smh 😂
