Isn’t this the same group who was bashing Charlotte just a few weeks ago? We remember.
Listening to people talk who haven’t watched the Hornets play. It’s crazy. LaMelo haven’t had shooters around him before. If you look at the past games, he would pass those guys the ball and they would brick every shot including Miles bridges they would be missing wide open shots so of course he’s gonna start taking more shots. It ain’t that they changed his mind of the game. It’s that he’s got teammates that he trust passing them the ball and being able to score or they make the correct play
If you look at his past games, they would double team LaMelo every time down court because he was the only player on the team that consistently scored and was a threat
But now he got weapons as a total different ball game

its a kon based team not lamelo based team even if lamelo is the primary usuage player. They score 100ppg per 100 possessions without him which is one of the worst to one of the best at 117ppg per 100 poessions with him. The offensive system immediately breaks and survives based on Kon's offball gravity. Only steph and maybe klay ever had more clear offball gravity than Kon. Anyone who shoots 43+% from 3 on 3.5+ 3s a game pretty much raises everyone's fg percentage by a lot. Offensively their efficiency has been the biggest issue start of this year and every year before bc neither melo or miller are even close to average efficienct players wo Kon.

It kills me how little professional sports analysts and reporters know about the Hornets. Charlotte was never an "unserious" team and the losing had nothing to do with LaMelo's style. The Hornets have been crippled with an uninterrupted barrage of serious injuries since he came into the league. They're actually healthy for once, have decent coaching, and now Kon is just the cherry on the top.

I've been in basketball purgatory since the Luka trade. Nothing was must watch anymore. Luka Lakers is not a good watch or even worth the time unless you're a hardcore Lakers fan. The Hornets are actually making me consider shelling out for League Pass again.

And they're all young, and Charlotte has a lot of cap space. They can make a run this year, but no other team has the cohesion and selfless play that they do. Detroit is up there, and OKC as well, but Charlotte has something special here.
