OKC is about to BREAK the NBA…

OKC is about to BREAK the NBA…

The Oklahoma City (OKC) Thunder are prepping a dynasty, and the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft (Lottery) will be the finishing touch. A historically deep NBA Draft featuring the likes of BYU’s AJ Dybansta, Duke’s Cameron Boozer, Kansas’ Darryn Peterson, UNC’s Caleb Wilson, Houston’s Kingston Flemming, Illinois’ Keaton Wagler, Tennessee’s Nate Ament…the list goes on, and on, and on with collegiate guys, balling in March Madness as we speak. But how does the draft concern the OKC Thunder? A team that won the 2025 NBA Championship against Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers, then turned around and have boasted the NBA’s best record since opening night? Well, that would be due to the brilliance of General Manager Sam Presti. OKC owns the unprotected rights to the Los Angeles (LA) Clippers pick, the last remaining asset of the infamous Paul George-SGA trade, and despite Kawhi Leonard’s valiant efforts, that pick has fallen into danger of entering the NBA Draft Lottery. Pair that with the Philadelphia 76ers pick (thanks again Daryl Morey), which has also fallen into lottery status, the OKC Thunder are in the mix to move up in a historically deep draft. Gabriel Ebersole breaks down these potentially franchise-altering picks, their stipulations, and the players that might join the Oklahoma City Thunder as a result, as well as Sam Presti and his draft resume.

  1. Lottery is rigged we are gonna get the worst pick of the 2 😂😂😂 but it won't matter

  2. If we get the 1st pick we’re NEVER recovering from the rigged allegations. Still though give me Darryn or Dybantsa

  3. i feel that lu dort and kenrich williams are the one's who will be free agent. especially lu dort sometimes inconsistencies in offense and defence. but we never know

  4. Can Sorber play peripheral distribution like iHart? The film I have seen has him a two way slasher and paint player like Jdub

  5. Ofc it was rigged. This up coming draft might be another one for the mavs lowkey like the spurs did last draft. 🤔 mavs have options i guess

  6. Who ever we draft I hope they are immediate plug n play players. Be nice to see what we have before their sophomore season. Love Topic. Excited for Sorber. Anyone think we can do without Brooks couldnt hit a barn hizer?

  7. I personally would love if they draft Abdi Bashir Jr. He’s a taller Isaiah Joe & a Reggie miller type

  8. Totally agree boozer would be my choice there. Fits our team so well with the rebounding and assists+ being able to break you down.

  9. Let me help you out youngster. The Mavs #1 pick was rigged to get Luka to LA. It was part of the deal, Nico was the fall guy. The NBA will NOT allow OKC to get a top 3 pick. There’s a reason they don’t allow the fans to watch the actual lottery like they use to, they just give us the results 🙄

  10. The only real hole in the roster is at small forward where OKC doesn't even have one. A small forward with good size and athletic ability who can match up with guys like Gordon (Denver), Siakam, Tatum, etc. would help but really we just won a championship without one so does it really matter? I think Presti's philosophy is to draft two way wing players even if they're undersized and just have an entire team of them. As long as they have three or four bigs to rotate it works in today's NBA. I'll be interested to see who they're looking at drafting.

  11. unfortunately clippers are now back up to 15 and Philly up to 18/19 according to tankathon. Doesn't make sense the clippers are 15 when they should be 13 because of their winning percentage which is 0.493. Hopefully the hornets, heat, orlando, pheonix, and Atlanta start playing well.

  12. Koa Peat is our best option, he's a star that's not being respected as a star. ❤😂 He is the most NBA-ready guy right now, and then we pick Jayden Quaintance. He's like Lu Dort, but at center, we can throw at Wemby and Joker. 😂❤

  13. Whenever it was looking like the Clippers were going to be tanking earlier in the year, I was really excited about the chances of getting boozer

  14. The other benefit of not having a lottery is finding a quality player mid range without paying lottery salary.

  15. Bro these sounds….should be minimal…the swoosh from the page transitions…is killing me LOL. You need the sound maybe 2 times in a video…also your voice really fades in and out.

  16. Honestly the thunder probably doesn’t need all 3 1st rd pics I think I’d be smart to offer all 3 pics for the 1 or 2. I think the 2 teams at 1 or 2 would pounce on that trade offer in this deep draft. Could you imagine getting aj I’m not sold on Peterson he just seems to quit at times. Aj is straight hungry and lives in the gym ya think that’s an idea floating in Sam’s head.

  17. OKC would obviously take a shot at a top-3 guy if they can via the Clippers pick, but after adding Jared McCain, they might be just as happy going for someone like Yaxel Lendeborg. McCain helps fix their 3PT shooting, while OKC still lacks rebounding—something Yaxel excels at. At 6'9” with a 7'4” wingspan (compared to Jalen Williams at 6'5” with 7'2”), he fits their style and fills a clear need.
