I used to think a take like this is was based but now I feel like it’s a bit self righteous. Like bro this whole league is built off of awards and accolades mvp, trophies defensive man ect ect. You can come up with reasons why those are stupid also but they represent hard work dedication so it’s not about the award itself rather what it represents. If nba is not your cup of tea then I can see how an outsider may think it’s silly but a coach in the league who is the recipient of the award should just accept it and share it with the staff.
