Can the Cleveland Cavaliers win the East if Jarrett Allen’s knee isn’t 100%?

Cavs playoff push faces uncertainty with Jarrett Allen’s troublesome knee injury. This time, in the form of Jarrett Allen’s troublesome right knee.

“Definitely still sore out there. Definitely not 100 percent,” Allen admitted to cleveland.com following Tuesday’s 127-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. “I’m not able to put a lot of pressure on my knee sometimes. Jumping and landing on the knee still hurts. Not as much as before, when I first got hurt, but still managing it and definitely still struggling with it.”

The injury, which has been described by multiple people within the organization as severe tendonitis, originally flared up on March 3 in the second half against the Detroit Pistons.

Even though Atkinson said at the time that he didn’t expect a “long-term” absence, Allen missed the next 10 games, more than three weeks on the sidelines. Allen, himself, thought he would be back much sooner. | https://www.cleveland.com/cavs/2026/04/cavs-playoff-push-faces-uncertainty-with-jarrett-allens-troublesome-knee-injury.html

  1. As someone who deals with that due to playing basketball soooo much it will hurt he really should wear a thick leg sleeve it reallllllyyyyyy helps. Big time.

  2. Marshmallows. Go see the wizard, that's what we need, heart, courage, and use your head and try to stay healthy. 😮

  3. No, even with Allen the best they could hope for was a second round exit. Their team is too small. Almost everyone is too small and are playing out of position and Koby Altman has not addressed the size issue since Mitchell got to Cleveland.

We need to be looking at how this team can fix their issues in the off-season to try to make a run next year.
