Joe Muzzlla's coaching has been one of the best for this 25-26 season. Being able to come up with nontraditional defensive plans to stop the Thunder, which are heavily favored to win the championship, is crazy coaching and this matchup might have been a Finals preview
This is how I've seen most teams play defense, outside the NBA. The main thing is to lock down the paint. But in the NBA it's extremely difficult because first, defensive 3 second rule. Second, the 3 pointer is further away so when they dish out it's harder to close out. Even here, OKC got a lot of good looks from 3… Did they miss all of these or what?
Joe should be unanimous Coach if the year this year. It takes someone truly special to lose your best player to an Achilles, trade away the 4th and 5th star starters on your team, and roll into the next year with a bunch of young bench players and come out of the regular season with the 2nd seed in the East and statement wins against the best team in the league.
