White people calm down!! It’s not a championship fight. Wemby is 21 years old, have played in less than two years of NBA games. SGA, Cade Cunningham, & Wemby are ahead of him in MVP. Their team record proves that!! Plus Wemby’s numbers are not bad at all. If he hits the last shot in regulation…😢game over.

Jokic gets the ball, Wemba moves towards Jokic to try and defend him, Jokic tries a 3 Pt shot anyways Wemba then WITHOUT even looking if Jokic will make the 3, runs towards his own court half because he already knows if Jokic shoots a 3 over him, it's going in so he doesn't need to go and try to get the rebound… 🤣

As a Spurs fan i will always back Wemby and the team.
but Jokic is a terrible matchup, for Wemby due to Jokic being a dominant post player, and Jokic has a lot of weight on Wemby, wemby is still good enough defensively too force Jokic into taking insanely difficult shots, but those shots Jokic makes against Wemby most other players in NBA history wouldnt make as consistently as Jokic. Jokic is currently in his prime, Wemby is still just 22 years old and he is in his thrid nba season, so the fact that Wemby is this good against a prime Jokic is very impressive

… and why it doesn't matter… Jokic gives a monstrous performance, the Spurs not on a good night, it's in Denver… and the Nuggets win by two points in overtime…
Also, I didn't see Jokic stopping Wembanyama either… Did you look at Wemby's stats on the game? He played 4 fewer minutes, so their numbers are pretty much equivalent. If the result had been the reverse (the Spurs winning by two points in overtime, or Fox doesn't fumble that last action to seal the game), you guys would be having a completely different conversation even though the game would have been practically the same.

He can't stop Jokic? Here's an info for you. He can't stop any of the NBA top tier talent. Luka, Antman, Giannis, Shai, Maxey, Booker, Brunson, Embiid, Kawhi, Tatum….he is keeping them all between 25 and 40ppg.
Victor Wembanyama is Rudy Gobert with great PR. Guy went on press conference, said "there are 2 sides of the ball" and that is why he should be MVP. And everyone bought that, he jumped from 5th to 2nd in MVP straw poll. Meanwhile best players can't wait to drop 30 on his head. Over, and over, and over again.
Guy said Jokic isn't the best player itw bc "there is defense", while Jokic averages 37/11/9 against him. He is dropping 40 on him from the first time he saw him. So can someone please explain to me, who tf is that guy stopping from scoring the ball, and what kind of defense is he talking about? Help side defense, shot blocking? Ok. Rudy Gobert.

As a Spurs fan I’m not really worried, I’m sure that we will figure this out, it was a terrible showing by a lot of our players and if Fox doesn’t make a couple mistakes in the 4th we win it in regulation. Also, Wemby has adapted frekishly fast to everything that has been thrown at him, i like our chances I f we see the nuggets in the off season

If Wemby plays 10 seasons, he will be the GOAT. Jokic will be an afterthought. But at 7'6", I do not expect Wemby to make it. It doesn't help that Wemby never gives Christ the King thanks for the basketball gift He gave Wemby. Nikola Jokic is another star who was givena gift but who does not give Christ the King public thanks.
What about kornet & Wemby playing together to neutralize Jokic.
Wemby will easily surpass anything jokic has done yet. He easily pays better defense and will learn to play out of the post and get bigger like ginnias did and dominate. So everyone better get theres now! I know wembys not falling for that pass fake an again and he’s blocking that somber shuffle like he did two years ago. Just saying! They meet again this week and I expect to see a different story. Spurs sadly played down to the nuggets after half and dont run offense through wemby in the post as much as they could have. Too May teams let jokic off easy by not attacking his zero impact interior defense. Can wait to see what wemby does to him this week! Great game. As I expect Denver was comfortable In the clutch and it’s why when you have a 51-39 lead you have to slow the game down and run through the post so theres last fast break actions for corner threes from Denver. Watching that game I thought wow spurs just play right into Denver’s pace why don’t ya.. definitely would make a great play off series!! Jokic is the best one to go at wemby though. You can peep my videos my whole goal is to evolve the game and jokic high arc shot is part of that especially before wmeby gets more high iq and starts vertical blocking instead of lunge angle blocking like he did last night and fails to block it. It’s not his strength, it’s his footwork. Wemby is not quick at all. He can cover a lot of ground fast.. it takes him a long time compared to other players to get moving.. he’s super raw .
