I mean, i would at least call it a B for the Mavs, considering the market was low for Davis. That wasn't going to change, grabbed a 1st in a deep draft, cleared 75m for next season, got under the apron for this season, created a 25m trade exception, and got some fliers. In a vacuum, it's not bad
Mavs fan here. AD is a good player but it’s a new injury every 5-6 games. He’s played in 29/83 games since arriving in Dallas. Wish yall the best of luck with him he’s all yours
The thing is I don’t think this trade is that bad for us yes ad is a great player but look at his games played not just for us but in general he literally will have your team in contention then make you have to tank the next year so kind of a losing player obviously he’s an awesome player but you can’t count on him. Now if we are talking about this in comparison to the Luka trade we don’t need to talk about that lol but this one isn’t terrible
For the Mavs FANS, this is the equivalent of Will Dawkins dumping Beal and getting some playable assets and swaps in return. It’s an absolute loss from a talent standpoint but that’s not the point here, it’s turning the page into an earnest rebuild.
As a Mavs fan I don’t even care I’m glad he’s gone. Sick of watching the dude get hurt every game. Go watch the few games he did play the guy is wincing and grabbing something every game.
