  1. The Denver lesson: the Spurs need three main fixes: they need a clearer late‑game offense that runs through Wembanyama every key possession, instead of slipping into tough guard shots under pressure. They have to adjust their defense on Jokic so that when they help off “weak” shooters, they can still close out quickly if those players get hot. And they must improve the minutes when Fox and Wembanyama sit, because leads are quietly lost there long before crunch time exposes their fourth‑quarter focus and decision‑making issues.

  2. What y'all don't understand is Castle is the Robin to Wemby's Batman. Lol y'all are about to be in for a rude awakening when is Castle continues to dominate the ball in the playoffs.

  3. The sooner y'all understand that Castle is the second best player on the team, the quicker y'all can move on and accept Fox as a third option. His one playoff series was mediocre from a statistical standpoint. He averaged 27 points on 23 shots at 42% field goal percentage along with 7 assists to 4 turnovers. Castle is going to blow those numbers out the water in his first playoff series. Castle will damn near average a triple double when his minutes go up. Fox is a third option and that is honestly his best fit.

  4. Philadelphia? The Nuggets beat them with 0/5 starters. (and their best bench player THJ and their backup center Valanciunas were out)

  5. Casey, Devin and Matt, why did you dodge/avoid the 3 pts shooting problem in the loss against Denver?
I'll just compare the games against Denver and Philly from a 3 pts shooting perspective to highlight a very important point.
First, with Maxey, Embiid, PGeorge and Edgecombe the rookie, the Sixers are arguably almost as talented as Denver with top 5 GOAT Jokic.
Now look at what happened against these two teams:
Against Denver at 3 pts shooting, Castle was 0/4, Fox 0/6 and Keldon Johnson was 0/6. I know that you know that if these three had a rather bad 6/17 at 2 pts shooting instead of 0/17 at 3s, the Spurs would have won by 12, not even counting 2, 3 potential offensive rebounds with 2 or 4 more points. It was not about better spacing and other dubious arguments for more 3s against Denver. No, against Denver, the Spurs bet on luck with way too many 3s. Against Denver and despite an inconsistent defense, the Spurs were way better than the Nuggets if only these three players had made the offensive and physical effort to try more 2 pts shot instead of 3s. These 3 players could have attempted 5 or 6 3s out of these 17 shots, but no: they made bad shooting decisions. And this, in great part, was the loss. Overall, the Spurs were at 15/45 at 3 pts shooting. 15 to 20 out of these 45 3 pts shots should have been 2 pts shots and the Spurs would have won… EASILY. Remember: as a team, the Spurs are a 35 percent 3 pts shooting squad. The Spurs aren’t a good 3 pts shooting team, period. They are, however, the best 2 pts shooting team in the world.
Now look at the game against Philly: 11/32 at 3 pts shooting isn’t good, but 13 less 3 pts attempts compared with Denver made a big difference that Castle (1/2 at 3s), Champagnie (1/4) or Vassell (1/4) understood: a little less 3s makes a difference.
So, Casey, Devin and Matt, you get my point: it’s about understanding when exactly 3s are the best option; it’s about maximum concentration of all players when they are about to make a choice between a 2 pts shot and a 3 pts shot. In case of the Spurs this year, it’s about being champions… or not. And, at that, you can mark my words.
