I LOVED the commentary; loved it-honest. But this picture on youtube, showing Stephen A. Smith is misleading: he made no comments, neither was he qouted. I hate these false advertisements. BTW, I am a Pistons fan!!!
Let's keep it real. The Pistons lost the OKC game, short-handed and all, not because of anything OKC did, but because they missed too many free throws.

Most of the national media has no clue about this team. Ansur Thompson is a 2 time defensive player of the month. Jalen Duran was averaging 19 and 11 before Cade went out. Beef Stew is a top 5 defensive player for 2 years. They have underated shooters in Robinson, Jenkins, Green, Harris, Sasser and Levert. Theres more to the NBA then LAL, NYK Boston, OKC, Wemby and the Joker
As a Pistons fan, I think the doubts are warranted only because they haven’t won a playoff series or a playoff game at home.

A Pistons team with nasty defense. Reminds me of 89, 90 and 04. 05 they were up 7 with 3 min left at SA game 7 and got Ginobili'ed. Almost had back to back in 2 decades but all those teams played team defense and wore you down and were tougher than you. This Pistons team has that feel.

Detroit is almost last in 3 pointers made yet they tied a franchise record 8 games over 135 points this year. This stat should prove how dangerous they will be when they are hitting 3s. Keep picking Boston, keep saying they cant win without Cade, keep saying they need another star (Duren anyone?), keep saying they have the 4th best chance of coming out of the East. Been watching the NBA since 1988 and have never seen another team slept on more than this team except ironically the 2004 Detroit Pistons and we all know how that turned out.

Pistons are a playing a few years ahead of their rebuild. They need a piece or two to be a sure fire title contender. So young, lots of talent, great d, if the get consistent shooting watch out. They will be a very tough out for sure
