His role utilization in Philly was very weird, its like, they weren't gonna give him any real opportunity besides being the spacing guy. Contrast that to the his rookie season, where he was doing many things on the offensive end. The Thunder acquiring him and making it so they do a Warriors playbook, is excellent coaching
Funny thing is, McCain was already moving like that during his Rookie year in Philly, especially during that stint where he was averaging 20 points. A lot of his off-ball movement was really similar to how Curry moves around the defense and taking advantage of the space on the floor. But when PG came back from injury, the plays for him just completely vanished. What's worse is that he got injured not too long after. By the time he was able to play again this season, the coaching staff of the 76ers somehow just ignored the impact of McCain's spacing. Its honestly stupid given how McCain literally fills a role that perfectly fits their team
