OKC Thunder SECURES EASIEST PATH to NBA FINALS | NBA Playoff Pressure

Oklahoma City Thunder score the easiest path to the NBA Finals after a wild finish in the West. Can Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren seize this moment for a back-to-back title run?

Rylan Stiles breaks down how the defending champs sidestep the Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, and Minnesota Timberwolves until the Western Conference Finals, giving OKC home-court advantage and unprecedented playoff breathing room. Key topics include potential matchups with the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and the underwhelming Houston Rockets or Los Angeles Lakers. The conversation spotlights Jalen Williams’ growth, postseason expectations, and the mounting pressure to capitalize on this golden opportunity. Plus, reflections on the Thunder’s resilience, roster improvements, and why anything less than an NBA Finals berth would be a disappointment.

Will Oklahoma City make history amid soaring expectations, or will the path prove trickier than it seems?

  1. I want the suns to win over the blazers and lock in 7th seed. They likely have no chance to beat the spurs, but should give them a bit of trouble at least

  2. I wouldn’t say the easiest, you have to RESPECT every team that has made it to this point. The regular season goes out the door. Everyone is 0-0 let the best team win 🏆…..

  3. First, credit where credit is due and congratulations to the Phoenix Suns! They came to play last night and they were hitting very high percentages of their shots. They will probably never be able to replicate that, but they did it last night and they were practically unbeatable when hitting those high percentage threes and other shots. So congratulations to them they came ready to play. Good experience for our young guys. But I would bet that they will never be able to shoot at that higher level of a percentage again. Second thing, cannot believe that the Nuggets were able to pull that win off with the Spurs. If you watch the game, the last five minutes of the game, Denver was trying to do everything they could to give san Antonio the win by one. Fouling them, and letting the clock stop while the Spurs would go to the line and shoot free throws and it was just foul after foul after foul. The second thing is that the Denver Nuggets were not getting any of the rebounds and the Spurs were getting three and four different chances to make a shot in which they couldn’t seem to get them to go down. It was nuts. It was very clear that Denver did not want to win that game and toward the end, they were doing everything to blow it. But, as many people always say, ball don’t lie, and they had to take the wind, and this will help the thunder!

  4. Me as a Spurs fan. I'm actually excited for the Spurs to take a more difficult route because along the way they're going to build experience which is what everybody claims they don't have, which is true. So if and when they make it to the Western conference finals, they'll be more experience and they'll be at a better headspace having beat the OKC thunder 4 out of 5 times this season, so they'll definitely own the mental game against OKC so as a Spurs fan, I welcome the challenge. Go Spurs go

  5. Thunder just got to study the other team's player by watching game film, stay focused, and do the things that got them here. Also ignore the media as much as they can, kinda what Patriots did in their prime just straight ignoring the tricky media, sometimes saying yes and no may make the media mad but some of these after game interviews waste a lot of time.

  6. Heck yeah they repeating and if they don’t .. Here comes Giannis & his brothers 🤣🤣
    🦬🌩️🥶🔶🏆🔶🥶🌩️🦬
    ⚡️⚡️THUNDER🆙⚡️⚡️

  7. It's kinda wild how one game can make the difference between, the easiest path possible and easily the toughest strength of schedule in all the playoffs.

  8. Gotta watch flim work on our threes and don’t take any team as a joke because the west is even more stacked then last year and any team can make a surprise at us. I need Wallace to absolutely be our difference maker same with Mitchell

  9. That is a HUGE bonus not having to beat both denver and the spurs on the way to the finals. It couldn't set up any better for us. This playoff version of the Thunder is going to be noticeably better with mitchell and McCain. Dort, Wallace and Joe will all struggle offensively to do much of anything just like last year but the aforementioned will not, especially mitchell. He will make a huge difference.

  10. This is the way it SHOULD be for sure. Securing the 1 seed should give you the most advantageous path. Of course, life isn’t always fair and doesn’t always work that way, but boy am I glad it did this time.

  11. I think Denver doesn’t care who they face. They are confident they can take the Wolves and Spurs since they owned them all season.

  12. For a game to count towards post season awards(65). Doesn't the player have to record 20 minutes for that game to count? If that's the case Jokic only had 18 minutes last night.

  13. Nuggets are spurs killer, spurs are thunder killers, thunder are nuggets killer.
Wemby neutralize okc drives, joker assist neutralize wemby, okc offense neutralize Denver defense.
Spurs hyper focus on okc cost them. They just don’t know how to play the nuggets.

  14. I think DC ends up on a standard contract next season for another team so it was nice to see him the last 2 games.

  15. If we see the nuggets in the conference finals I think it’s a lock. I don’t see what Denver has done to justify taking them over the thunder. I think we beat the spurs but given the way the season series played out I’d rather them get taken out by Denver which I think will happen if they don’t get beat by Minnesota which is also entirely possible. I can’t really see how Minnesota beats the spurs I feel like that’s just a rough matchup for them. My prediction is Denver and okc with okc getting the win in 6-7

  16. You don’t even understand how thankful I am for the more than 1 podcast a day. Never seen a podcaster so professional and enjoyable to listen to like uncle Ry
