The Cavs are going home in the 2nd round and Atlanta is going home in first round. Why is this even a question. No Knicks fan. Actually no real Knicks fan was worried about the Hawks or Raptors. The only team I think they would have been worried about is maybe the Hornets. Because they pretty much have the same play style as the Celtics. I don't understand the disrespect to the Knicks who beat the Celtics last year, have proved themselves in the post season. Then the disrespect to the Pistons by automatically deeming the Celtics they favorite. When the Pistons have been playing amazingly since getting bounced by the Knicks last year. The real convo should be lets see who comes out the East because the Pistons, Celtics and Knicks can all come out the East equally. If any of those teams lose to each other its not a disappointment. Only if they lose against the teams before they face each other.
I know the Knicks are 3 to 1 favorites to beat the Hawks but believe me this ain't gonna be no cakewalk.

The Knicks are legit contenders because in the past 50 years, 1 team below 3 won a championship, the second year of the Rockets back to back in the 90s.
If you're 3 or above, you're automatically contenders and if you're below 3, you're not a contender. The Knicks fall in that 3 or above range so they're contenders.
It really is that simple but if ESPN acknowledged this, they wouldn't be able to BS about the Lakers and Warriors having "a punchers chance" every year.
