Regardless of Boston and their championship pedigree, NY and their "beat Detroit in last year's playoffs" narrative, or Harden joining Cleveland for a classic playoff game 6 or 7 slide. If Cade, Duren, Thompson, Tobias, Stewart are all healthy, and Duncan continues to hit 41% from 3, nobody will beat Detroit or come to Detroit and steal games from our home court enough times to put us away. Our only glaring adversaries are OKC, Wemby and SA, and maybe Jokic and Denver. Boston is the only formidable opponent in the East. That's the list.
