I hope Booker proves he is the true leader of the Suns in the next play-in game against LAC or GSW. He doesn't need to take every single shot in the last two min.
He just needs to take total control of the game and close it out for the win. We still believe in him. 💪💪💪
Suns doesn’t play as a team in Q4 after the all star break. Need resilience that the team had earlier. We need steals and offensive rebounds by Goodie and MW. We need more ball movement between the stars. We don’t need last shot from Booker but we have Collin, Royce. Winning or losing next game will change the franchise direction for decades.

Jordan Ott lässt einen katastrophalen, eindimensionalen Basketball spielen. 99% der Offensive geht ausschließlich über Booker und Green. Wie berechenbar ist das bitteschön? Ich kann es nicht mehr sehen !!!
Oso ist eine Litfaßsäule. Ott muss an Oso einen Narren gefressen haben. Offensiv wie defensiv erneut ein Totalausfall. Auch gegen OKC und dessen Reserve.
Apropos letztes Saisonspiel: Gegen OKC hatten die Suns ihre Second Unit mit Bouyea, Maluach, Brea, Fleming, Dunn und Coffee auf dem Feld. Alle zusammen holten 118 Punkte !!! Jetzt spielte von denen wieder nur Dunn und dieser holte nur 2 Punkte. Das war der Fastbreak. In Otts Spielsystem mit der First Unit war Dunn wieder nur done – ein Totalausfall. Hr Ott: Ihr Spielsystem passt nicht zu den Spielern.
Fazit: Jordan Otts Spielsystem begünstigt nur die "Superstars". Als Team sieht das einfach katastrophal aus. Williams 4Pkt, Dunn 2Pkt, Gillespie 5Pkt, Oso 3Pkt. Das sind 4 Spielerausfälle in einer 9er-Rotation !!!
Nur mit Royce O'Neale kam auch endlich einigermaßen Stabilität in der Defensive. Er brachte Größe.
Ich kann nur beten, dass in der Sommerpause jemand Jordan Ott ins Gewissen redet und ihm sagt: DAS IST SCHLECHTER BASKETBALL. Und erneut hat man in der Crunchtime versagt. Die Suns haben einfach keinen guten Spielplan und sehr viele Spieler, die ihre Leistung nicht abrufen (können / dürfen). Man muss sich nur das Volumen der Spieler anschauen: Williams 3 Würfe. Oso 2 Würfe. Auf der Center-Position war also tote Hose. Dunn 2 Würfe. Gillespie 4 Würfe. Das ist alles zu wenig. Royce ist Spieler des Spiels, weil er 8 Rebounds, 3 Assists und 4 Steals holte. Auch er hatte nur 5 Würfe genommen, aber war präsent.
Damit ist meine Analyse abgeschlossen. Dieses Spiel war exemplarisch für die gesamte Saison, obwohl man einen positiven Record vorzuweisen hat, sehe ich keine Weiterentwicklung. Die Suns sehen erst gut aus, wenn mind. 5-6 Spieler zweistellig punkten – neben Booker und Green. Heute traf das nur auf Brooks und Goodwin zu. Also 2.
I blame Booker and Ott for this loss. Booker should make his free throws when it matters. Ott should not have played small against the taller Advija and Clingan. Just put Maluach, Dunn, and Fleming in there to create a wall around the paint. You could have easily done it when you were up in the 4th. Small ball only gets you so far like it did with D’Antoni.
