And he also has no loyalty to Dallas.
If they can't build around him by the end of his rookie contract, there is zero doubt he will walk for a better option.

as a mavs fan I would want peterson 1st overall. I think hes just as talented as dybantsa and fits our needs perfectly. With that being said I would be so extremely excited for either of these guys.
Coop kept scoring better the whole season 23.2 ppg the last half of the season, 24.8 ppg the last 20 games and 25.6 the last 10 games. I haven't looked but I'd bet some other stats went up as well. When help arrives it's gonna get nasty.

First of all, if you are drafting purely on talent then Peterson is the number one pick and it’s not close. If you have concerns about his health or character then that’s valid, but from a talent perspective he is the clear number one. Acuff definitely won’t drop past 6 so the Mavs would have to move up. At 8 they are looking more at Kingston Flemings, Brayden Burries or Mikel Brown Jr

Nice, the Mavs are about to make the same mistake they did during the time with Luka, which is building a competitive team around the young star immediately. They should let Flagg improve his three point shooting first because that is one of the only weaknesses he has in his game. Rebuilding is not bad, tanking is.
Adam Silver needs to punish the Jazz, the Bulls, the Grizzlies, the Pacers and the Wizards for their disgusting tanking methods. They were taking randoms off the streets and putting them in to play NBA games for 1/3 of the season. The Mavs tanking was ethical, they sent away AD and they just sucked afterwards.
