The Pistons are a building block. They get better every year. It's like a singular player when he's building himself as his career goes on, particularly in the early stages. If the Pistons lose in the 1st round as a #1 seed, that's a failure. If the Pistons get to the Eastern Conference Semifinals or beyond, especially if they win the championship, then it's a successful season.
