This has happened ONCE in NBA history! In 1982 the Los Angeles Lakers already had Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Somehow the Lakers end up with the number 1 pick and they draft James Worthy, the best player in college basketball and a national champion. The rest as they say is history..š²š²

I agree with your summary about what OKC should do with Jaylen Williams. Trading J Will is the move that will help them avoid the mistake that the Warriors made. A team would only keep J Will if they feel they need him to remain a top contender. This season proved that they clearly dont need him, when they have several other players that provide on both ends of the court just like he did. His value is soo high for so many other teams in the league and that could set them up for 5+ years down the road. That's the smart play 100%.

So you're saying the NBA's biggest problem now is intentional tanking. So their fix is to create another problem by gifting the top pick to create a super mega team? Even if I think the draft is rigged, the solution to a problem is not to cause another problem. NBA wants stars in their major cities and they want competitive games. Gifting the Thunder another generational player is going to cause further imbalance in the league, their games are already no fun to watch since they blow out everyone and cruised to the #1 seed.

I was doing a simulated mock draft and when I simulated it the thunder jumped to 3 and my Mavs dropped to 13. Istg I have never been ragebaited like that before.
Even if OKC Thunder doesn't get a very high draft pick, they'll probably still be able to pick a player that will improve their roster. Every team has different criteria for what they're looking for based on what they need or will need in the future. They have an eye for talent, but as Alex Caruso mentioned in a podcast, the front office has an eye for fit, which probably means that they look for players that would work well in their team's system and culture.
The rigging is always about money. Washington is going to get #1.
