What are some other bad moments from the season I forgot to mention?
💩💩💩
Bam scoring 7pts in a must win game against Toronto was definitely a highlight
Bam disappearing against the Jazz was a highlight
Bam getting outplayed by Micah Potter in a loss against the Pacers was also elite
Heat have a monopoly on attaching picks to get off of bad decisions, but can’t use that to its favor. Front office is just bad.
Losing to the jazz who benched their starters in the 4th is going to be heat ball knowledge
Yet they see gold somehow in a roster that continues to regress. Yeah, we had more wins than last season, but we're out of the playoffs altogether. Ever since the 2022-2023 season, it's been a downhill decline. Keep this roster as they are, and then a play-in or lottery team will remain. I've watched several Heat teams, both good and bad. This is one of the least enjoyable of them all, sans the 15-win team. At least the Dragic, Waiters, Whiteside teams were entertaining and fun, even if they were mid themselves. Spo's ego has also gotten really out of control. You don't reward bad habits there I agree. However, game time is not the time to prove a point to your players unless that point actually helps the team win (IE: Riley or Pop benching the starting lineup for blowing a lead or entering a deep deficit).
He says that playing time is earned, and he's not into moral victories. Well, allowing 1 player to stink the floor up as much as they please while another one gets crucified for just looking the wrong way is NOT merit-based whatsoever, while ALSO seeking moral victories cause he cares more about proving a point during a game, which is wholly inappropriate instead of practice and other times that exist for that sole purpose. Merit-based means you play well, you play. You play bad, your ass sits. It doesn't matter what your title is or how many years you've been in the league. Merit-based hierarchy increases wins by at least 15% or so more wins. For a team like Miami, 15% more wins is the difference between the play-in or being a 5-6th seed.
I 100% understand not trusting Ware. His motor and focus leave a lot to be desired at times. Where I have a problem is that 60% of this team needed the exact same treatment. Effort is cute, but just like you don't reward poor effort, you don't reward sh** play. Playing like garbage is just as bad, if not worse, in a results-driven league.
They won't pay players for their status or years in the league, yet this determines who plays and who doesn't, even if they stink.
Pat is cooked. SPO IS BUNZ, BAM is not a franchise player. Spo benched the only all-star on the team for Tyler white AD Herro. 😂 Spo changes his lineup based on opponents, no playoff team does that. He refuses to play ware consistently. He plays mind games with young players like Niko and breaks their confidence. He is pure trash and the heat tards aka fanboys don't want to accept it. Pat has to retire and spo needs to go. Plain and simple. Everyone has an expiration date. Ty and good luck on ur future endeavors 😂
I mean i remember Wade separated his shoulder got wheelchair ♿️ out and we almost got Rose in draft 🌹 so could always be worse but this was a bad mid season
Insane what a disaster this fo has been. Has been is the perfect description. Celtics and Brad Steven’s running circles around our fo. Then riles claiming he’s not in charge just lets you know no one is. Ownership is content with ticket sales period. They don’t wanna “rock the boat”. Until changes are made in the brain trust or fo I don’t think things get any better. Sad way to go out for riles who’s a legend
Give em credit, they were a lot more exciting than any of us expected. we all expected 2 be both shitty and boring. They were deeply flawed but I found myself able to watch most of the time, very surprising. That's hard to do without any real talent. They played with heart until the end.
Spo has got to win a championship as a coach outside of the big 3, he’s a good coach no doubt, but that will put him in convo as an all time great, if you empower any high level coach the way Pat did for Spo without fear of job loss, I think you get the same results from pretty much any of them.. Spo is good but he’s not close to a Phil Jackson,Pat or Popovich type of coach.
Spo playing 5 guards at the same time has to be the worst part of the season
