The Hornets desperately need a PF that can score and defend.. not this switching Bridges, Kon, Miller at the 4 during times in the game. Mainly because Miller isn't a good defender chasing around screens at the 2. Time to see if Tijaune is ready to play the 4, if not then move him. Trade Bridges to free up the 4

Why was this surprising? This is just the Chicago bulls. Remember when they went on a streak near the end of the season and beat the hawks only to get blown out by the heat?

They didn't get exposed. Nobody had faith in that team doing anything who watches objectively.
This is also a pretty classic play in maneuver.
As a bulls fan, I feel that I am an expert in the play-in. 🙂
This is going to continue to happen, because the nature of teams that end up in the play on are such that they are not reliable one game to the next.
And they absolutely have no business trying to win four out of seven games.

watching this game 2 things are clear. the hornets are simply just not ready for the playoffs yet. they were a great feel-good story, but struggled to beat a miami team with no Bam, and got murked by an underachieving Magic team who has low team chemistry. And the second thing is that Orlando's offense is so unpleasing to watch ðŸ˜

Between Lamelo’s intentional trip and injury of Bam and Miles Bridges’s… history… I’m glad they lost. Karma never forgets.
Honestly, looking back on the game, I'm aware Lamelo has some pretty big flaws as a player, but people are really pretending to ignore the fact that he sat for a good portion of the 2nd quarter (not the 1st was any better), but that brief run in the 3rd quarter literally showed why, despite his flaws, he was needed for the offense to get going because no one besides him got anything going at the basket to put any kind of pressure on the Magic's defense.

Paolo is such a strange player to watch. He shows so much potential sometimes but he can never consistently play at this level. This whole season has been disappointing so seeing them beat Charlotte was wild af. Hope he can figure it out before they give up on him

Not a hornets fan but I live in Charlotte. I think this is still a great season for the hornets and they have a solid team just need a couple more pieces.
I think they need to move on from bridges
They were horrible with lemelo off the court
I feel that this'll end up being a net negative for the Magic.
Now arguments can be made for the coaching staff to stay, and the promise of PB not playing terribly will end up with the Magic still holding onto hope and not putting this era behind them

They young guys getting a taste for meaningful basketball for the first time and the pressure that goes with it. Lamelo’s playstyle may not translate to winning ball but it’s still a question worth asking. Big year next up for the Hornets
Kon wasn't ready for real games yet. Simple as that. Now he has an offseason to stew over that

I stand by LaMelo no matter what, people should quit expecting him to be perfect every second, he is an awesome player and getting better all the time. I can't wait to watch what they can do next season. Keep an open mind , have some love for the Hornets!!

Im mot surprised they play a stupid brand of bball and lamelo is the to me the least good number one option in the league. To me it’s not entertaining he makes a mockery of the sport yet gets treated like a star he barely cracks top 50 of active players for me. If it was on just raw talent he might be top 15-20 but the man is a joke!
As a pistons fan I am so happy, not because I was scared of the hornets, but because all of the nonsense I had to hear about the pistons having to be scared of the hornets got shut up by PBnoJ himself and the Orlando midgic
Magic are healthy since the first time since dec6….. Look at the numbers before the injuries…then look at this game lol
I was hoping my Pistons were gonna get the hornets because we MANHANDLED them this season. They had a good year? I only watched their games vs the Pistons and this last one vs Orlando. I wouldn't know without social media telling me. 😂 It seems like whenever they face good defense, they are completely aimless.
This Magic series is gonna be TOUGH, I'm all for it. Gonna be a fun series.
