I have a legit question for anyone, why do so many people think Hack A Anyone is an effective tool? First, it causes the team to goes into the bonus quickly. Second, it sends a message that you are afraid of size. Ive been watching ball since the 90s, the strategy doesnt work.
It needs to be said… when jaylen brunson switches on to bigger guys and then drive against them refs need to call fouls when he fouls them…multiple times kuminga drove against brunson and because brunson is small they just dont call fouls on him…just because players are small shouldnt mean refs should just allow them to foul at will
Let's be clear, these big market teams like the Knicks and Celtics are always projected to win because of the money they have invested to recruit big market players that possess clear advantages against a team like the Hawks with one defined all-star in Jaylen Johnson, with no real playoff experience. All this said, this Knicks team is only beating a team like the Hawks with extreme limitations. The Knicks won't make it past the second round against the rest of the East.
Hawks looked terrible. Without CJ it would have been a wire to wire blowout. The Knicks can play to the pace that is supposed to be in Atlanta’s favor.

knicks are a top three 4th quarter team and this game was no exception to that. they know who their closers are (usually brunson but hart is sneaky clutch in his own right too), but if kat is on one in the 4th as well and the knicks have any sort of lead, then any chance of a hawks comeback is as close to 0 as it gets. if the hawks can't expose them enough in the first three quarters to take at least a double digit lead by then, then this series could end really quickly.
Josh Hart had a binder. Hes such a spark plug for the Knicks. JB and KAT complement each other so well. KAT with the ball in his hands on the perimeter opens up passing lanes for cutters. JB is almost as dangerous without the ball. KAT can beat himself sometimes. 5 TO and 5 PF isnt perfect but his def inside (3 blocks) was impressive. if Shamet shot as he usually does Knicks with this by 20pts. Hawks will pivot and junk it up on defense nxt game. Good to see Deuce out there and Mitch got some decent minutes. If he can hot his free-throws the series is over.
Also, Hawks aren’t deep enough. They started being fatigued late 3rd quarter. They don’t have enough playoff dependable players.
