Iβm a Spurs fan but I agree with you about those Steve Nash, Amare Stoudamire, Dan Majerle, Shawn Marion Suns teams. They were awesome to watch when I wasnβt watching my Spurs.
We need to add two more stat categories to the box score, the βHell Nahβ for those times someone changes their mind about driving into the paint after seeing Wemby there and the βNot Quiteβ for those moments they brick or air ball the shot because Wemby altered it.
Totally agree. Wemby was too amped up and forcing things a bit at times in this game. Trying to go too fast at times because he was out of control.
The Duncan led Spurs was what made me love basketball. I knew from the moment that I saw TD play in Wake Forest that I would be a fan of whichever team he was drafted to. Till this day, I have no regrets for the choice I made in 97. GSG
I believe this was a great game for the Spurs and a first round opponent. Blazers are decent and have a star. This will help them for the next round and what to expect from refs and how they can't depend on them for the whistle. The scary thing is this was probably worse we seen of Wemby and the Spurs.

As a Spurs fan, I am far more worried about Denver than OKC. I believe that JokiΔ is the only player in the NBA that can somewhat neutralize Wembyβs defense. Iβm not saying that OKC cannot beat San Antonio. I just think Denver is particularly suited to give San Antonio trouble.
I don't think those guys really watch basketball and they just have talking points that their managers give them to say.

Mike Malone, the winningest coach in Nuggets history who developed Nikola Jokic was the hire but Pop hires someone who proved OVER SIX MONTHS in a trial run last season he did not have "it". Bitch's lineups, rotations, and inept adjustments during the game are all evidence that he learned NOTHING last season. Malone is old school, like Pop. This young team in San Antonio (pray for us) needed old school.
The people who hate on the Duncan Spurs are the same ones people who loved hero ball, wondered why their teams always lost, and led us into the super team era with the best talent selling out and going to join their friends. To clarify, that was a horrible era for the NBA. The 2014 Spurs, and then the Warriors after that, saved the NBA.
He wasn't a fan of the Duncan-era Spurs because they kicked the shit out of the Lakers much of the time.
