After getting Flagg last year, I’ll gladly take this result. Worst case scenario the four teams that move up have better records than the Mavs and the Mavs drop from 8 to 12. There are still some good prospects with the 12th pick and the Mavs could have thier true Robin (Ament, Burries, Yaxel, Mikel, Philion, Peat) to Coopers Batman. I’d obviously would rather stay at 8 or definitely move up to the top 4.
I feel like this guy never said anything really positive at all. Yeah it kind of sucks that we lost this coin flip but I mean we did get a generational talent. I mean and the NBA didn't screw them they won the game that was their choice. The truth is they could have done exactly what Memphis did or Utah did and they decided to prioritize their rookie of the Year campaign for Cooper… The truth is we need the Spurs luck of getting up into the top of the lottery or we need Oklahoma city's luck that our lower pick turns into somebody like Jalen Williams

Mavs screwed themselves. They were sitting alone with the 6th best odds then decided they had to win 2 games down the stretch. I hope they remember this 2 years from now when kyrie is gone, and there's no longterm 2nd star for Flagg.
