MAKEOVER: What Moves Could Brooklyn Nets Make To ELEVATE Themselves To Playoff Convo? Guard Adds?

1. What moves would do you want to see the Nets explore this offseason? How agressive do you feel they should be?

2. Brooklyn NEEDS to add a center this off-season and trade Claxton by draft night 👀 🧐.

   Isaiah Heartenstein would be a perfect center addition who Brooklyn could pair with a Caleb Wilson or Cam Boozer at power forward 💪 🔥.

   CJ McCollum could be a good veteran point guard who can help teach the young guys how to better coordinate the offense 👀 🧐.

3. Suggs has REGRESSED and is injury prone 🧐. I'd be more inclined to sign a Dean Wade who is a free agent on the cheap because he's a 3 point scorer but a better defender 🧐….

4. And MPJ is on a EGO power trip right now making demands to the front office on getting him ANOTHER point guard to build around him 😂 🧐 🙄.

   If MPJ does NOT want to take a PAYCUT extension Brooklyn needs to trade him 🧐.

   Whether that's a player and picks swap for Paolo 🔥 or a straight up MPJ for Zion or heck trading him to Detroit for Ron Holland Isaiah Stewart Caris Lavert and a Pistons 2026 first 👀 all options need to be on the table 🧐🧐🧐….

5. Nets need to get the hell outta NYC bcuz the Knicks own all 5 Burroughs including Brooklyn, # make the Nets relevant again #! come back to NJ 😢

6. Nic Claxton has been in the NBA 6 years going on 7 yrs and still haven't developed a jump shot 😮 I don't like the Nets development program 😮

10. Couple things here:

    First, I’m not particularly sold that the Nets should extend or keep MPJ. I do think first round picks do become more valuable because of the change of the rules, but I’m not so sure the nets should hitch their car to MPJ for a couple of reasons. One his injury history he has been relatively healthy however he’s going into those years where now his body starts to break down a little bit the other thing that the nets have to be cautious about is MPJ and social media. This is a version of MPJ who’s looking for a contact extension and he’s playing nice the version of MPJ that gets a long-term contract is one where you’re not gonna get him to shut up and I’m not particularly one who cares that much about what he talks about but the nets ownership probably does. So if he’s outspoken now, imagine how outspoken he will be if you give him another hundred $150 million. I’m not so sure he’s the veteran voice you want in your locker room with your young guys long-term.

    Second, the new potential draft rules help the nets long-term and they shouldn’t be worried at all about the Houston pick because with the new rules Houston could end up with a better pick anyway so there’s no point in trying to accelerate the timeline of the team just to be a plane team, so the Rockets won’t swap. The worst thing you can do is start signing a bunch of mid-level players who you’ll then be stuck with when you’re actually trying to contend. You should only be going after free agents that you think long-term will be part of contention. So I completely disagree with like bringing in CJ McCollum so he can take minutes from your rookies? I think the best thing that the Nets could do is look for more salary dumps.

    Third now I do think there are some players that would have long-term benefit for the nets. I think Sabonis would be a really good add to the Nets roster. She would immediately solve a lot of of the rebounding issues. He’s a playmaking Big, who can shoot from the outside. He would be an immediate upgrade. and he’s only 29 years old and average 15 points 12 rebounds last year.
    I do think Orlando might be the perfect type of team to try to poach talent from. Franz Wagner is a guy.

11. Why are we talking about Jalen Suggs haha. Gentlemen let’s aim higher, (with respect).

14. The nets need an elite back court, just look in the division we have the worse back court. The nets are miles away from success and need a miracle with the draft, trades and free agency
