The Raptors path to contending in the East just got WAY HARDER

If the Toronto Raptors weren’t already concerned about the Washington Wizards due to their seemingly competent management and player development churning out gems like Alex Sarr, Keyshawn George and Will Riley, and they weren’t already a bit concerned about an Eastern Conference rival adding Trae Young and Anthony Davis, they better be sounding the alarm at the Wizards landing AJ Dybantsa in the NBA draft lottery.

With Indiana and Washington back in the mix, with Charlotte clearly on the rise, the Raptors will likely once again be preseason bets to miss the playoffs. They can accept that reality OR they can beat that reality. Both outcomes do have their merits.
