  1. you can be a lottery pick and in just few years if that pick cant meet the expectations they gonna be gone. every player in this draft 1-15 is really good. now the question will be if we get a player i wonder how many minutes is he gonna play and whats gonna be his role? its just most rookies need specific role and playing time in order to see where they can be in the future. brown gonna be good but is he gonna start? burries is really intriguing but how many minutes gonna be playing? either way its a win next year we gonna have kai back

  2. Havent watched a game of the Mavs (well i did when Luka was playing for the Lakers) since the trade but with a almost clean slate (dumbass owner is still around) i hope the Mavs nail the 9th pick and pair a good youngin with Coop. Mavs still have a long road with no control pf their picks till 2030

  3. why is everybody sleeping on Philon? he seems like a more developed player than almost all the freshman and has more proven tape of being a two-way leading ball handler than can create for himself and others which is exactly what they need. I do like mikel a lot tho

  4. Here's what I would do if I was Ujiri and Dallas… draft Lendeborg… crazy right? HEAR ME OUT!

I am pretty sure everyone agrees that OKC wants Lendeborg. Perfect FC partner for Holmgren, cause its clear that OKC can not pay Hartenstein anymore. With 90% of the cap going to the 3 stars, its just not possible. They can not use the team option and a desperate team like the Lakers will overpay I-Hart if he is on the market. So Dallas drafts Lendeborg, then trades him to OKC for 12 and 17. OKC doesnt need 2 more young players. They have depth at every position IF they get Lendeborg. So Dallas gets 12 and drafts either Philon or Burries (one should be available), then can draft one of Lopez/Johnson/Graves/Evans as a Wing partner for Flagg at 17, while using the 30th pick on a high upside player, position irrelevant.

The Dallas young core would then be (as an example) Philon/Christie/Graves/Flagg/Lively/30th pick… I think thats a young core to build around long term, while also having the veteran depth (Kyrie/Thompson/Marshall/Washington/Gafford) to compete for the Playoffs right away, cause Dallas doesnt own their own 2027 1st.

  5. They need to take a swing at 9. Mikel should be the pick. I think people are gonna be surprised how he tests at the combine, dude can jump and he's fast. If he fails at the NBA level I think he can still be traded for a star just like DSJ. He just has so many tools to be a good NBA player

  6. I haven’t seen anyone saying it really… why not trade down for two later first. I rather have 3 mid to late firsts than keep the 9th pick and be limited at who we can take at guard in that spot. Trade the 9th pick to OKC for that 12th and 17th pick from OKC.
