I think Burries might be gone by 9. Yahoo and the Ringer both mocked him at 5. Size and length bias as I think happens every draft cycle as we get closer to the actual draft. Teams are more allergic to small guards than ever. If intel is slowly spreading out of the combine it's that Flemings is falling. Maybe another team ahead of the Mavs reaches for one of the forwards and another of the guards will fall as well. At some point players in the draft operate like stocks and the price is the price, so Morez or Ament or Mara could move up despite no games being played and you can't just trade back to take them.

I think any five of these guys will help the Mavs and you need a big guard to add to the rotation anyway. This year we get a guard at 9 I’ll be happy. Whoever the Mavs super brain trust decides is it then I’m ecstatic!

They can't beat the Spurs that had 7 lottery picks the last 6 yrs and 3 top 4 picks.
If medicals clear, Mikel Brown is the clear choice. He is the only guy on the board (after the top 4) that has the potential to be the best player in the draft. Drafting burries would be great. But I would be really disappointed with another Derrick White type player coming out of THIS draft with the Mavs having no more picks for the next 3 years.
If Cooper Flagg is not the leader of the team, the Mavericks will be in trouble. Considering the team going forward is supposed to be built around him.
