Miami Heat “Desperate” To Trade For A Star?

1. The Heat should 100% NOT be desperate to trade for a star. We are starting to feel reloaded on what has been a pretty badly mismanaged team from an asset standpoint. We could have done a lot more to be in an even better position than we are in now, but we’ve at least finally crossed the threshold into the positive.

   I would like for them to explore more thoughtful avenues to build this out other than blowing the entirety of their pay check on a shiny new car.

   Take lower risk stabs at more affordable young players that have some star upside. Sign Peyton Watson for example. It won’t cost you everything you’ve accumulated over the last 4 years.

   Be smarter with contract extensions, and stop being so attached to everyone that puts the Heat jersey on. If you have to sell high on a player that you don’t think is instrumental in getting you to where you want to go.

   When you have an excess of assets, then you can make more risky moves, but always leave yourself in a good position if it doesn’t work out.

   If we trade for Giannis and it goes badly, it’s going to set them back further than I’ve ever seen them.

2. Tobin tempering expectations for a change.

9. I don't think it would really matter.The way these young teams are playing, I don't know if an old team will have a chance anymore.

17. im telling the bucks…take every one except bam & ware & the 13th pick(tell them they can also have one of pelle,kas or jjj as well)…& add 2 future first rounders & a pick swap,if they don’t think that’s enough,then shift to just staying pat & draft a starter and actually start him(hopefully a big)add a starter to this current roster,and sprinkle a couple of breakouts from the young core,and I think we can surprise even if just tinkering with the roster with minor trades

Miami Heat never been desperate it's the Heat Media ,And some fans who want to get Rich overnight to the Point, that Milwaukee knows , cause those folks who do business with Pat Riley knows it's not Miami,or 2:16 team it's every content creator that's desperate not the Team same people chasing Old Whales for 6 years straight,nev er team..never the team always lHeat media and few fans

22. If Bill Simmons is supporting a Giannis to Miami move AND saying we are offering too much, we're desperate 🤣 That man has never said a good thing about Miami in his life. The Bucks don't have that many options because the rest of the league sees how badly that trade will age in 2 or 3 years. Don't ignore those pick swaps out to 2032 either with the new draft lottery system. Giving up control of your draft for 6 years plus your 3 best young guys sounds pretty desperate to me.
