I would like Mikel Brown or Burries
If you pick DP then you wont have the stress to move up to get a PG or SG because around grizz 2nd pick its good bigs up and down plus getting boozer at 3 your still in need of the main thing every team needs to win and thats a game changing PG that controls the offense and can guard well
WE SHOULD NOT DRAFT A PG AT 16 for that exact reason !
pick 16 is unlikely to be a superstar in any draft , and we need star power > depth at that guard spot. Whereas we need more playable bodies at wing and big and we’re probably getting the superstar forward at pick 3
I’ll trade Ja to Brooklyn and get that 6th pick and trade up to destroy OKC pick on who they want
the number 10 pick is the money spot to trade up to .. milwaukee only has one pick in this draft and no picks next year. especially with our boy taylor jenkins and his love for developing
Drafting Acuff in the top 8 is gonna be a generational fumble for whoever does it. Score first short PG that cant play D have negative value as soon as their rookie scale contract is up. Trae, Ja, Lamelo…. Waste of a top 8 pick in a stacked draft. If you are trading up for a guard in the 6-10 range Im taking Burries every day of the week.
Morez Johnson is about the best fit we could hope for at 16 after drafting Boozer. He is the perfect forward/center that can play good in space and rim protection, He can play with both Edey and Boozer, he solves our backup center needs and PF depth.
Can we talk about how we will have a 3 year vet that will still be 21 by the time the next season starts? I genuinely don’t understand why we don’t buy more into GG being that wing that allows Ced to drop to the 2. He has improved every year while being on a team that has been unstable for the past 3 seasons. Imagine a lineup with DP, Ced, GG, Yax/Morez/Hannes, Edey. Or even Ty, Ced, GG, Boozer, Edey. A conversation needs to be had about growing organically at home plus the addition of this top 3 pick.
