    My thoughts before hearing that…was this:
    Mavs had their board this way:
    1. Kingston
    2. REZ
    3. Burries

    Plan A was to take Flemings….
    But the back up plan was to attempt to trade back to get 12/17 from OKC. And take Rez at 12…and Okorie at 17.
    When they talked to Thunder, OKC disclosed they wanted Rez (who is exactly what they need and they have zero fear of Mavs NOT taking a guard, so disclosing was no big deal).
    When Mavs FO discuss Rez with Dusty…he tells them that Rez is his ride or die of the 3 Wolverines.
    Mavs come up with Ament smokescreen to justify not trading with OKC and keep them from talking to Atlanta to take Rez at #8.
    The Flemings part is a wild guess….it might have been Rez all along.

    Havent heard any rumors…but pretty sure one of us, maybe BOTH of us are on the right track. Maybe some combination of both scenarios????

19. I think it was an awesome trade for Charlotte. LaMelo did them a HUGE favor by playing more than 55 games in a season for once. He's missed more time than Anthony Davis ever thought of missing in both of their careers. and AD has played almost twice as long as LaMelo. 32. For me, it was part of the agreement Dusty made to get hired. Probably wanted to trade down a bit but probably either got cold feet or got spooked by rumors of someone trading up or selecting him.

35. Anfernee Simons is a hard no.
    My blazer buddies hated him.
    He is Trae Young bad on defense and very one dimensional on offense.
    Career 1.22 points per shot and 53% efficiency, which is right around league average.
    For comparison Steph is 1.38 and 58%.
    He’s not bad but he’s nothing special and the defense is the deal killer.
    Perhaps Sexton is peaking and he can be something special but, for example,
    Little Brandon Williams had 1.46 and 1.39 points per shot the last two years and is comparable to these dudes.
    His 3 point shot is just broken.
    If they all have major flaws then just pick the cheapest one, which will probably be a combo of Williams and Nemby, like last year.
    It doesn’t matter a lot honestly.

    So it's really the back court rotation that's the issue. We had/have Klay, BWill and Nembhard. Looking at that, it's clear that we also need a solid 2 guard. I just realized that we don't really need to give up any of our centers.

43. They are no guards. Point guard is the hardest position to find. Copper flagg and kyrie are the only play makers on the team. Playmaker are hard to find. Its over. 2 time lines is dead. What angers me is just trade everyone now and stop wasting people career.
