  1. Rely on Pritchard, Hugo, Baylor, Queta, youth and NOT star power?? Im a Celtics fan and i love these guys but… WHAT A JOKE? What is modern about this?? We just saw the Knicks with KAT and Brunson 2 stars unexpectedly win the chip while the young teams with one star and 'reliable' role pieces in OKC and Spurs and Detroit lose. When we won in 24 we relied on JB JT KP star power and Jrue and Al experience!! When we won in 08 we relied on our big 3! This is closer to the 22 or 2010 teams if anything… its so frustrating how the media is trying to sugarcoat this ngl… i guess our market is too big to fairly criticize like they did with Dallas…

  2. Youth??? Why wouldn't they trade for Edgecomb instead of Paul George. Makes no sense, and Paul George makes alot of money as well… Doesn't make sense all around

  3. Tatum is gonna get doubled a lot so it's up to the role players to consistently put up double-digit in points because PG ain't the same player he was during his Pacer years.

  4. People are being way too emotional about this trade. I love JB, and he's a really good player, but under the new CBA you just can't have two wings taking up around 70% of your cap unless they're both absolute no-doubt top 10 players.

Jaylen is a great scorer, but he doesn't make his teammates better the way other max guys do. Too many possessions end with a shot or a turnover. On defense he's good when he's guarding his man one-on-one, but off the ball he loses guys, watches the ball too much, and doesn't create a lot of deflections or steals. The analytics back up what you can see if you've watched him his whole career.

The other thing people keep ignoring is the market. Jaylen is 29, in his prime, under contract for 3 more years, and there still wasn't some huge bidding war. If teams thought he was worth that contract, somebody would've beaten Philly's offer. Brad didn't just wake up and decide that's all he wanted. He took the best deal that was out there.

People keep saying the Celtics got fleeced. I think it's more likely Brad looked at the second apron and realized this core wasn't sustainable anymore. Now Philly has one year before they're dealing with the same roster restrictions Boston was trying to get out of, while the Celtics get their flexibility back much sooner.

We'll see who was right in a couple years. I have a feeling this trade is going to age a lot better than people think.

  5. JT should have waited till next season tore asl takes time to heal if he would had came back next season Boston would of had to run it back despite the high pay of Jt and Jb instead of Jt coming back in the end if season playoffs

  6. They will be behind. The 76ers, Toronto, Detroit, New York, Miami and Orlando. Boston will be in the 8th seed. JB carried the team on his shoulders. Snow time Lakers. SMH. Brunson carried Dallas not Luka he was hurt as usual

  7. Tatum literally averaged 27/7/7 these last 4-5 years and you ppl really are tryna act like he hasn’t led a team. Literally was getting mvp votes 2 years ago. The reliance on social media narratives within basketball really makes the sport itself whack. Comments full of brain dead narrative boosting bums. JT and JB was a great duo and both will be great next year
