From reaching the mountaintop to the shocking Damian Lillard trade, to waiving and stretching him to sign Myles Turner in a last ditch attempt to keep Giannis, to that blowing up completely, the past half decade in Milwaukee has been absolute chaos. The Giannis trade saga was long and painful, but it finally ended this summer with arguably the greatest Buck ever heading to Miami. In this video we break down the Giannis trade, the new young core coming in, and why despite a whole lot of bad, there is still real reason for excitement in Milwaukee.

The return was Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kasparas Jakucionis, three firsts, a swap, and a second. Was it the unreal haul people once imagined for Giannis? Not quite, and we get into exactly why, from his age to the injuries to the extension leverage that shrank the market down to Boston and Miami. But you still end up with a solid base, a former All-Star, a young big gushing with potential, and two lottery picks to kickstart the rebuild.

Kel’el Ware is the piece I find most intriguing. He is one of those rare rim protecting bigs who genuinely stretches the floor, and unlike Brook Lopez or Myles Turner, he is an absolute monster on the glass. We break down his shooting jump in year two, why an 18 and 12 breakout is on the table with real minutes, and why Milwaukee is quietly banking on him becoming their franchise anchor.
