can’t wait to see Morez prove anyone wrong and that he was worth being the 9th player taken, he’s genuinely a high impact player and that teams need to have to find success especially with building a team, and they’re more highly coveted come playoff time
I agree , i love the moves this offseason, don’t sleep on Biberovic or Aldama either , they have the potential to be good rotation players that add size with 3 point shooting that they need to space the floor for Coop and Ky .
There’s 2 teams at the top in the West Spurs and Thunder
4 teams that in some order should be 3-6 Nuggets, T Wolves, Rockets, Lakers
Then 5 teams 7-11
Suns, Blazers , Warriors, Jazz , Mavericks
I would not be surprised if Mavs are the best of these 5 and are the 7th seed but there are a lot of question marks on the roster so at worst 11th just outside the play-in because just a year 2 Coop and Kyrie returning is a massive upgrade by itself.
On paper I just expect Mavs are better than Clippers , Grizzlies, Pelicans and Kings who I think in some order will be 12-15 in the West.
I like the outlook of Mavs going forward the next 3-5 seasons I just am concerned about the longevity and injury history of Kyrie as the #2 Coop needs to compete for championships long term , I don’t think the 3rd option creator guy will be too difficult to find or acquire but eventually replacing Kyrie without having to gut the roster in a trade or pay a buttload in free agency losing depth idk how they’ll do it .
The best case scenario I can think of is someone like Ajay Mitchell Thunder can’t afford and Mavs sign and he becomes an Allstar for them or they get really lucky in a draft or some unexpected young player in-house develops into that .
