WE FINALLY HAVE MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT TRADE PACKAGE WAS OFFERED TO THE HORNETS AND WHY IT WAS ULTIMATELY REJECTED. According to new reports, Knicks player Pacome Dadiet was offered during trade talks this offseason but no one wanted to trade for him. Even more than that, no one wants to just accept Dadiet without NY attaching additional draft compensation… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Dadiet and Toppin were both drafted by Leon Rose. Toppin was selected instead of Haliburton when our starting PG was Payton. Dadiet is not the first we have to attach draft picks to get rid off, we gave up Duren to get rid of Walker. Leon Rose will be the reason why Knicks will be in lottery in two years and stay there till way after 2033.

  4. I get it that they want to avoid the second apron, but the penalties for the second apron Don't kick in unless you've been there for at lest a couple of years , the knicks are really hurting themselves because they want to be cheap , they got money.
    And that's the feeling I got from rose from the beginning.
    It's totally unreasonable to want your players to put everything out on the line even to the point of injury.
    But then you don't wanna pay them.
    These are some of the lowest salaries in the league for people who are actually on an NBA floor playing at the NBA level.
    The craziest thing is that they let mitch walk for nothing , but they want too much for dadiet.
    They should be super embarrassed about themselves.
    This was a stupid move bordering on insulting.

  5. All these haters in the comments. We just won a chip when we did not have probably top 3 rosters in league. We're set up to take the east again too next season once the philly circus folds. Another backup center rim protector is just icing on the cake. We're championship calliber for the next 2,3 seasons.

  13. Once the season starts and the Knicks have every player they need to win championships next year going foward God willing, what happens to Dadiet if the other teams in the NBA don't pick him for the next season?

    Wow that's just bad not good, i'm sure some way some how he can improve elsewhere to prove himself but not to anyone to show that those who didn't want him can see he can do well in the league where maybe perhaps win another championship in the future.

    He's in a tough spot, hope things go well for him in the future.

  14. If I were Charlotte I wouldn't ever talk to the Knicks after that disrespectful trade package. Dadiet for Diabate just straight up like that? The Knicks number would have been blocked after that LOL

  15. The problem is that we don’t have many attractive assets to offer other teams. There doesn’t seem to be much interest in Dadiet or Kolek, and the interest in Deuce is limited. Teams aren’t exactly lining up for undersized shooting guards, either.

    The Knicks may have to package two players with a second-round pick—or even two—to get another team interested. As things stand, unfortunately, nobody seems to want what we’re willing to offer.

  18. We would need to trade our 1st with 2 2nds minimum to get Diabate and lose Dadiet maybe even another 2nd. I wouldn’t even pick up the phone again if the Knicks made a straight up offer.

  19. The Knicks have been trying to move Dadiet since last offseason, and not even winning a chip has increased his trade value. They have to play him more and take risks developing him to trade him, and that's not going to happen. Guess he'll earn his second ring on the bench this season, and go to the Euro League after.

  26. All of this is old, old news. It’s well known that the Hornets wanted Tyler Kolek and the Knicks were unwilling to include him.

    I will say this…..

    The Knicks development of front court players has been abysmal……🫣 I don’t know what their process is, but it hasn’t been working.🥵 They may really need to do a review of their in-house staff responsible for development of their front court players and/or their selection process in the draft. They also need to stop drafting from whatever French pipeline they think they have. It’s been a massive failure!

  29. Damn, I love my knicks but the NBA have way too many immigrants for me, hence, why the league been trash for years, not enough Foundational Black Americans in the league anymore. Troy I used to think you was cornball, but over time, you have become my favorite channel for knicks news….keep up the great content!

  33. Wow now the truth comes out. You’re right nobody is taking that deal! I thought they were turning down pacome and multiple second rounders. They need to make real offer if they want a young center.
