  1. If something happens to Coward and/or Wells injury or foul trouble wise, who else do we have height wise at the two if height is needed? If Clayton isn’t showing anything as of today Peavy or Murray probably gets a spot over him. Keep Hendricks and Omax though both have weaknesses.

  2. Yes, there is a chance the Grizzlies could leave Memphis. That’s real. People may not like it. The truth isn’t rooted or based on whether it’s liked or preferred lol. That being said, it’s highly unlikely they leave. The Grizz are holding out for leverage on the city. The city must invest in the areas surrounding the Forum as well as the Forum itself. It has to become a destination such that people who live 10-20+ miles from it will bring their families consistently to not just attend games but also spend money around games. And those of lesser means who live closer to the Forum outside Harbor Town and South Main must be able to afford to go as well! The city has done its part on crime and that should improve.

The Grizz have to stay healthy and win. Void of solid public transportation, a 324 sq mile city likely won’t get a Collierville or Arlington family to drive down for a game vs Brooklyn on a Tuesday night. It’s too easy to watch at a sports bar or at home on 65 inch smart tvs to miss the $30 parking and $20 cheeseburgers lol.

I’m bullish on the Grizz staying. I’m a realist and a supporter!

  3. The state has approved funds to go towards FedExforum renovations. I would think the Grizzlies would have a future interest if the city was able to get the crime under control within a reasonable expectation and build up impactful and useful areas around the arena that could finally bring in an All Star Game and big-time NCAA tournament games. Not only the hotels and diners, but other recreational things that other cities thrive on taking care of and maintaining that Memphis simply just doesn't invest enough money and time in. If Fedex wasn't around as the main sponsor, we'd have a much bigger reason to be sweating a move out.
