GG needs to start. Put your best players starting. Wells is either Hot or frozen, no luke warm for him
I won’t say gg is better than Ced, but I do think we over rate Ced, and underrate gg. Is Ced more sound and plug and play? Yes. Does he also have a bad handle, and can go quiet when it comes to scoring yes. He’s the type of player that he doesn’t hurt the team when he’s on the court, and more often than not makes the team better. While keeping the ball moving. Gg is the type he can hurt the team if he isn’t rebounding, and scoring. But can actually put the team over a hump. He’s a higher ceiling raiser at this moment than Ced. I think it’s a good Idea to surround gg with playmakers and two solid rebounders to make up for his lack gg is a scorer. Who sometimes misses rebounds and isn’t a good play maker. boozer isn’t an elite 3 level scorers with pop. That line up just works good together Zack and boozer handle rebounds, the pg, and boozer handle playmaking, and you put a real scoring threat (gg) in between. I’m also up for taking out Ty for Scotty for a point of attack defender. Honestly I’m still not sold on Ty anyways I don’t like that off balance off the wrong leg, slow step scoring he does😂regular season it’s fine. I wanna see it work in the playoffs
I hear ya, but you’re also presuming Wells is a world-class defender. He’s not. Wells gets cooked by talented players too. GG prances around on D lol He needs to lock in there.
GG needs to start and Scotty Ty Jerome is not a PG
Yes but Karim Lopez #KarHIM #StartKarimAtThe3
Cameron "The Emperor" Boozer 24/9/6 #OpenyoureyesFC #GENERATIONAL #TheEmperor #27 LeBron James 3.0
We shouldn’t get too worried about who starts. It’s about who plays when, for how long, and with who on the court. This Grizzlies team isn’t built yet to play the Knicks or Spurs in a game 6 of a playoff series lol. First we have to get past starting OMax at center and tanking seasons. Once we prove we aren’t that, then it’s can we compete. This roster can compete with roster depth. That excites me!
No one is guarding the top 15 guys in the league well anyway!!! You’ll only play SGA, Luka, etc a couple times a year lol. No one on this roster is stopping or slowing them down. If this team remains healthy it can build good working chemistry. Teams will have trouble playing the Grizzlies with no one guy to key in on. And position the roster to be a star away from competing for titles.
It's time that everyone started getting realistic about one Zach Edey. If this was 30 years ago, there is a good chance that Mr. Edey would be a full time dominate all star type center in the NBA, but it ISN'T 30 years ago. The centers in the new NBA are totally different in that they either jack up threes or they are athletic freaks who are very good defensively and catch lobs. Teams that have the shooting centers are going to pull Zach away from the paint and attempt to defend a three point shooter and he's not comfortable doing that. Teams with the more athletic/rim runner centers are going to constantly have Edey running and attempting to defend lobs in the air which is something that he also isn't comfortable doing. Jokic is another big slow center who struggles defending the new centers but Jokic makes up for it by being probably the best overall offensive center in league history, Edey isn't anywhere close to having that type of impact offensively. Tonight, the Bulls will probably start Jalen Smith at center again since Claxton is out injured and they will have Edey attempting to defend him 27 feet from the basket and when Edey is out there he just doesn't feel right and he easily leaves his feet on pump fakes and that's when he gets in trouble. This is the projected starting center of each NBA team and I will give my opinion if Edey should start against them: Brooklyn- Sharpe(Y); Miami- Bam(N); Indiana- Zubac(Y); Boston- Queta(Y); Washington- Ayton(Y); Chicago- Claxton(Y); Orlando- Carter(N); Detroit- Duren(Y); Philly- Embiid(Y); Atlanta- Okongwu(N); Milwaukee- Turner(N); Cleveland- Allen(Y); Toronto- Poeltl(Y); Charlotte- Diabate(N); New York- KAT(N); Trailblazers- Clingan(Y); Clippers- Jackson(Y); Lakers- Kessler(Y); Pelicans- Missi(Y); Jazz- Jaren(N); Nuggets- Jokic(Y); T'wolves- Gobert(Y); Warriors- Horford(N); Spurs- Wemby(not really); Thunder- Hartenstein(Y); Kings- Sabonis(Y); Suns- Williams(Y); Mavs- Lively(Y); Rockets- Sengun(Y) That's 20 yes's 8 No's and 1 Maybe(Wemby). Good thing is that in all of the No's Isiash Stewart would be an excellent starter against those centers.
I agree Pippin and GG deserve a good look at starting positions.
Grant, Jackson, or Pippen would be more impactful starters than Wells would be. Grant needs to be built up as a trade candidate for the deadline. Jackson and Pippen need to be tested to see if they are worth being in the long term plans or not. With the team clearly in the rebuild status, suffering on defense at times depending on matchups wouldn't be the worst thing to try.
Pippin is a better defender than Ty Jerome.Ty Jerome is a better scorer.I agree to give GG and Pippen a look in preseason.
We will never be a good team. We have hired a European coach who said " he wants to get away from american centralized ball" player dominant. Play more like hockey, soccer. WTF does that mean. Well this is a players league as long as our starters play under 25 min. We dont have a chance
What is this deserve the opportunity stuff? What's the difference between starting the game or coming off the bench? I think its more important to have players in position where they will be most impactful to winning the game. To me the most important lineup is the one I finish the game with starting doesn't really matter if you still got the whole rest of the game to play you can come off the bench and end up with more minutes than the starter at said position. Who's on the court at wining time is much more important than who starts the game.
Kareem Lopez has made more defensive plays than Wells and Coward..
Man U did all that damn calculus yapping..just take Ty Jerome out the damn starting lineup..he’s ain’t a starting pg and never been..he wanna shoot so let him come off the bench…why did our idiot GM sign him in the first place??🤷🏻♂️…nobody wanna watch that bullshit
