BREAKING: Mavs make CRUCIAL move… This is Great | Dallas Mavericks News
The Dallas Mavericks picked up Zaccharie Risacher’s $17.4 million team option for 2027-28. Here’s why Dallas made the call, and what it means before Mavericks vs Thunder tonight.
Risacher is shooting 3 of 17 from three in his first 4 games with Dallas, but he’s tied for 2nd in the NBA in stocks with 8 steals and 8 blocks. We break down why the Hawks traded the former No. 1 pick in the 3-team deal with the Thunder, what the option means for his rookie scale extension in 2027 and restricted free agency in 2028, and how he fits next to Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving. Plus the Mavs and Thunder injury reports, Flagg’s revenge game, and 3 things to watch against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and OKC. Nick Gosse and Jace Andrews break it all down.

WOW, talk about a massive overpay!!! He has been a shit show since the season started, and can't shoot for shit!!! 🙏 Please lower his minutes, and if he tradable, trade his ass! Please!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Zach Risacher is a great pick up. Great Defensive presence , GREAT DEAL. you could make it to NBA second defensive team.
Dusty should put Risacher on SGA tonight
It’s only one extra year. I think it a good move. If he can fix his shooting numbers, it will look like a genius move. If not, we’ll forget about it after his contract is up.
Yeah they have injuries but we're missing our two best centers and possibly Kyrie Irving
A great team needs players like Risacher that are role players and play great defense. If that's his role then I'm good
The Bulls needed Dennis Rodman. Not saying he's him but every team needs a hustle player to win a Chip. I'm good with this. 👍🏽
Yes
Yea just let him miss his first nine shots early and then he can help on offense. Get this brother in the gym and we might have something. Missing Naji, could have used him last game. No matter what you think, Naji is the motor of this team. His desire to get in the paint is unrelenting. It's his killer instinct that is spreading like wildfire. He is the wellspring from which we flow. Go Mav's, everybody stepping up. The Gaffinator and PJ punked Mr. Giannis and stood on business. PJ understood that Giannis was vulnerable on the dribble. Klay jumped on the wrong band wagon but still have love for THJ.
I'm really glad that Zaccharie is with us! He'll get even better at everything, and I'm sure his shooting will improve a lot. I believe in this guy!
Yes live Risarcher
And the hawks lost that series too, so maybe not the right choice…
Smart pick up future all star with coop
