  1. what do you mean all of professional sport? surely that's just in The States or your State. Misleading at best you might wanna start telling the truth mate!

  2. In my opinion Jeanie Buss is not nor will she ever be the caliber of owner that her father, Dr. Jerry Buss was. This also applies to previous Laker's owner, Jack Kent Cooke.

  3. The problem Jeannie has is not necessarily her friends being involved but the fact that they are doing a horrible job building and managing this team so the WHO will be magnified. Plus there’s no reason at all to have these unqualified friends making decisions, the league has lapped Phil Jackson and the Rambus’ plus Rob Pelinka has done a bad job. That’s why the fact they are Lakers “family” is being criticized. They are not good owners let’s be honest, and this team is owned by a group of siblings that are not ready to do this job. I think Jeannie is the only Buss that resembles a decent boss.

  4. Jeanie Buss has had way more than enough time. She needs to start being held accountable for how she’s running the team and her lack of financial commitments. I’m sick of these 1 year signings.

  5. Jeanie using her being a woman as an excuse to avoid fans demanding accountability really rubbed me the wrong way. Most the people we complain about her going to were men, Rambis, Magic, Pelinka, Phil Jackson… But clearly she's thought about her sex in her own mind and is worried about that self-consciousely. A reminder too her if she ever reads comments on Lakers Nation, we rejoiced when you won the battle to get your brother and Mitch removed, and were celebrating having a leader/owner we all believed would get the job done.

  6. Bis repetita with a new starting five each game. How are you supposed to have chemistry with this non sense.?For first ten games, my prediction lakers 3 win (Portland and Utah twice) 7 Losses

  7. It’s as simple as this. The ppl you surround yourself will obviously influence your decisions. The fact that those ppl keep spouting their opinions and they coincide with what the team is doing. This is why we are questioning who is in the inner circle.

  8. What this team need to be competitive is a small forward who can defend and have a good 3 point percentage, that'it. We will see if Trow brown can fit this role when he will come back
In the meanwhile the front office shall ask Wessbrook to stay home, he will just disturb the team chemistry

  9. The Lakers is a joke at this point. They should have fired Rob last season, should have kept the Rambi and Phil Jackson away from the front-office decisions of the team, should have fired Frank mid-season. Just imagine all the players the Lakers could have traded for. They could have had Robert Covington and Norman Powell, or even John Wall, Eric Gordon and Christian Wood, Mike Conley, Bogdan and Royce O'neal if they have traded Russ earlier.

  10. Lakers waiting to trade Russ until 10-15 games in is soooooo dumb! Have they not looked at their schedule?!?!

    First 13 games they play

    Clippers Twice
    Nuggets twice
    Warriors
    Wolves
    Nets
    Pelicans
    Cavs

That’s 9/13 games they’re prob underdogs or close to even money small favorites on! They could easily be 4-9 after their first 13! Them not making trade for Turner/Hield before training camp is simply inexcusable.

Rob getting an extension after his last two offseasons means he’s banging Jeanie, has dirt on her, or Jeanie is just incompetent.

The fact he broke up a team who was 49-13 before Covid in 2020🏆 or even 2020-21 which has most of the core and started 21-6 before AD injury and 28-14 before LeBron injury is a firable offense and instead he gets another year of money?!?! Jeanie didn’t want to give Ty Lue, Caruso, DeRozan an extra year but Pelinka’s?!?!

Until Buss’s cell to multi billionaires and they get a top5-10 GM Lakers will always be up and down at best!

    Make it make sense!🤬

  11. Trevor, you getting dramatic like the national media, 2nd,we don't need to know who starting until game day just like phil or Vogel did.3rd,nobody questions ms.benson about how her team is running but does it to Jeannie so she is right.the Lakers will be ok

  12. What troubles me is that Rob had 3 years to make the " right" moves. It's like wasting 3 quarters and then in the fourth with minute to go, your asking us to accept throwing the game because we have to Hail Mary now. Because you didn't like the options that were left. YOU ARE THE REASON WE ARE IN THIS MESS!.. By refusing to let Westbrook go for Wall and WOODS(who later got traded to our rivals the Mavs and Clippers) you automatically accepted the reality that moving him later would require more assets because of the obvious lack of leverage which you agreed to when you didn't move him at the trade deadline and you made a statement then saying as much. Now months later you act surprised by the cost of moving him? You plead ignorance? HOW? ….You sign Kendrick Nunn to MLE and he misses an entire year and you neglect to petition for the disabled player exemption like the nets did with Dinwiddie, which the rules allowed. Another fact that most fans do not know. Also, you lie about how many more picks are available to us in the years to come because you knew by doing so you would inflate the value of the 27th and 29th pick to the fans, giving you the excuses you needed to do nothing. Spending into the luxury tax like the Warriors is charged to the team not the owner. Teams with higher revenue(Lakers 3rd highest in the league) can afford to spend to improve and the cost can be further offset if the team has a deep playoff run or better yet wins the championship. Jeanie's net worth has nothing to do with her ability to be just as competitive as Golden States or the Clippers. Do the research yourself and you will find this to be true. Connect the dots people. Jeanie's sudden increase in public appearances. No visible effort is being made to fix our desperate need for size and shooting. WHY? Something does not add up. Does this seem like the behavior of an organization that's supposed to be "ALL-IN"? NBA fans need only to turn on their TV or phones to find constant examples in sports of well-run organizations. It isn't a mystery or an enigma. The question that needs to be asked is: WITH SO MUCH EVIDENCE OF INCOMPETENCE FROM THIS ORGANIZATION FOR SO LONG, why has nothing been done to fix it? This is not normal business practice, especially in sports. What are they really doing?

  13. Why haven't the Lakers been able to get shooters at all the last few years? Such a weird problem to not address when you have LeBron.

  14. Trevor, this team identified, and picked, first and second round studs (some more than others). Russell, Ingram, Ball, Randle, Clarkson, Hart, Kuzma, Zubac, Nance Jr… The F.O. has no problem with acquiring talented young players. But, it's a disservice to your listeners to just gloss over the LeBron effect, as if it's a minor thing. The Lakers traded away Ball, Ingram, Hart, and 4 frp's, for AD. They let Randle walk. Traded Zubac, for essentially nothing. And, traded Kuzma, as part of a package for Westbrook. Most of those moves were made, because of the LeBron effect.

The same goes for roster turnover. When the star player you're building around signs short term deals, why would you build a "long term team" around him? And, the other star is a question mark, in terms of mental/physical fortitude. This is not an attempt to absolve the FO of making some head scratching moves, like letting Caruso go. But, it does explain why this team is so turnover heavy. Also, it should be considered that a large portion of the Lakers roster is made up of Klutch clients. So, it stands to reason that the contracts "negotiated" would be favorable to those players, when possible nepotism is in play (Klutch using the Lakers as a stage to rehabilitate/showcase their clients; pure speculation on my part).

  15. They didn't work out their starting lineup because they don't take the pre season games seriously at all. For most of the time they were playing those guys we know won't make it to the rotation or even the roster

  16. Great analysis Trevor. Thanks for going back to Caruso and the lack of keeping your players. We all knew Malik Monk was going to be gone long before this past summer.

  17. They could've kept Kuzma, KCP, Caruso, Harrell, Drummond last season, and what have they done? That was a hell of summer off season for the Lakers that needs to be written in history.

  18. Fire Palenka. Make who ever traded Robbie Anderson, President of basketball operations. Russ would have been gone before he got his second yellow slipper on

  19. Our starting lineup against the Warriors: PatBev, Nunn/Reaves, Lonnie, Lebron, AD. Subs: Rus, Nunn/Reaves, Ryan, JTA, Jones/Bryant

  20. I told you this to stop labron and were him pit to get 5 championship so he cannot get to six championship and win this bad rhis is political in the lake organization it is bad seeds everywhere so no player can when six championship they trying to make this a mile stone for mj but GOD IS NOT GOING TO LET IT HAPPEN

  21. And why they keep changing roster why didn't they keep Javelle magcee why it look like money but they don't want labron to win so they keep changing players this is bad why I'd Philly Jackson around and racist this is bad

  22. Lakers could start with AD and Bron

Nunn, Russ, Bev, Reaves, Walker, JTA, Jones or Bryant.

10 players that could start. Maybe even 11 with Schroder when hes back lol

  23. Management Jeanie isn’t concerned with winning, she’s unwilling to accrue staff that can properly chose a roster, resigning Pelinka showed that, she’s counting on fans showing up to see LeBron because this team is going nowhere this year…..again 🙁

  24. The season hasn’t started and AD already have tightness 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ lakers need to get rid of him asap and get something back now before it’s to late

  25. Most of you will disagree, but I believe the starting lineup should be Kendrick Nunn PG/SG, LeBron James PG/SF, Anthony Davis PF, Damien Jones C, and Matt Ryan or Cole Swindell SF/SG. The bench players getting time would be Thomas Bryant, JTA, Austin Reeves, Wenyen Gabriel, and Patrick Beverly. When Troy Brown and Lonnie Walker get back, that might change.

  26. if the Lakers don’t win 10 on their first 20 games.. forget it.. they should just tank to be on line drafting Wembanyama.. 😁

edit: don’t expect Westbrook to be on his 100%.. he’s not gonna be cause of this trade issue.. i don’t think he’s gonna be motivated.. that’s bad! 🤦‍♂️
