I really didn’t like the last play for the attempted game winner.

but horrible, terrible shot attempt by demar we really couldnt get a better look than that?
Free throws man. Also run something other than DeMar late on a bad shooting night it’s obvious by now
it always sucks being on the losing end of a good game. Gotta work on finishing our defense though. we allowed way too many offensive rebounds and those told the story

Great fucking defense down the stretch. Everyone was locked in. But wtf was that final play drawn up? It gets worse and worse, demar had to shoot a fadeaway over 2 defenders. Billy gotta draw up something better, that shot was not a good look
That was a terrible play by Derozan on that last second shot and just bad half court offense from the team all game long.
Ayo and Caruso left it all out on the floor today and deserved to win.
This hurt more because of the hope Ayo and AC brought. Wish they made both their free throws tho
these end of game plays are just terrible. it’s just always Demar forcing and everyone in the building knows it
I love DeMar but I feel he’s gotta let Zach take the last shot every once in a while

Takeaways from tonight’s game:
* Deebo had a mid shooting night, but to his credit, he honestly played really solid defense the whole game. He was out there battling at the bare minimum. It’s a b2b against a good team and it was pretty clear his legs were gone by the end. I’m just happy with the defensive intensity I saw tonight.
* Zach also had a below average game. He didn’t finish well at the rim and was leaving the long balls short. He did have some lapses on defense, but at as a whole he wasn’t bad on that end either. Just tired guys tonight.
* Vucevic scored decently inside and couldn’t make a 3. He rebounded well.
* Pat played some solid ass defense and was good on offense for the most part. He started out the game 3/3 with our first 6 points and didn’t get another touch for a fat minute. He was a solid presence on defense as well.
* This is the best Ayo game since Boston. He shot well, played good defense, and I hope last game was the start of him coming out of his slump.
* Javonte played a solid ass game and was our leading scorer at one point. Solid on both sides of the ball.
* Coby played a really solid game and made some really big plays in there. He’s been doing all the little shit and I’m super proud of how he’s showed up for us this year.
* Honestly we played some damn good defense tonight. This cav’s team is nothing to fuck with and they did not have a good night. Coming off a b2b I’m super proud of the boys. We battled back into the game over and over again and stayed mentally in it to give us a shot at the end.
* Really didn’t like our play to close it. It didn’t feel like a drawn up play whatsoever. Like that’s what happens when someone just goes “Throw the ball to Demar and pray he pulls of a miracle.” Not mad at any players on the team for this loss at all…on to the next one.

Proud of the boys but I wonder what Billy says in these final shot time outs. “Demar please save my job” because there’s 0 scheme. Demar took a fadeaway against a double team on that shot…

I get that he’s been clutch as hell but Demar really doesn’t have to take EVERY end of the game shot. That was just flat out a terrible look at the end there.

People complain about that last shot as if it hasn’t won us tons of games in the clutch.
What’s the point of signing Lavine to a 200m deal if the only player that ever takes the last shot for us is Demar?
I honestly don’t even care about the loss after watching that defense. Felt like the team realllly grew together tonight. The slow, methodical comeback fueled by good defense and transition buckets is something you absolutely love to see.
I’m convinced now that Donovan is incapable of drawing any actual plays💀😭😭
