Not just Scottie, any Raptor that slips up seems to get a fiery baptism of hot takes and scorn i.e. the Gary Trent Jr. takes following his slump vs. “Fred is being let down by everyone and he can’t win with these cats”.
To an extent, I can understand that Fred’s injuries/him coming off of a back injury may hamper his play but the lack of consistency that these criticisms entail is just annoying.
If you’re the leader of the team, you need to be held to slightly higher standards than a sophomore. Like, I swear i’ve seen more criticism for Koloko from the press than I have Fred.

The Toronto media always has been a joke. Scottie slander isn’t new. But let’s not act like there aren’t plenty of clowns in here shitting on Scottie as well. A lot of those folks are the same ones who said unacceptable things to Pascal during his slump as well. Now, it’s happening to FVV.
The bottom line, they’re all our guys and we have to support them whether they’re up or down.
